We are currently seeking a Data Center Lead to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).

Data Center Lead

The Data Center Lead will be responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of the critical facility infrastructure as well as the 7x24x365 operations for the data center environment per the company's policies and procedures. The Data Center Lead will manage the local relationship with the customer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our operations.
  • Lead a team of data center professionals supporting the customer's environment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and the maintenance of the mechanical /electrical / cooling systems.
  • Supervise the on-site management of sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work is performed according to established practices and procedures.
  • Establish and enhance a strong working relationship and engagement with our client, staff, and act as the point of contact at this site.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Oversee projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Assure compliance to all audit and state regulations.
  • Manage all work activities, within specified change control/management protocol.
  • Maintain a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 100% uptime.
  • Assure program implementation, risk identification, and mitigation.
  • Manage the administer MOPs and SOPs for all work on critical facilities / data center facility equipment.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of data center / critical facility operations and maintenance experience.
  • 10 years' experience  monitoring/managing Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment (UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU's, Cooling Systems, etc.).
  • 10 years' experience in a data center or other critical environment facility, working with operation of building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems, electrical power monitoring, branch circuit monitoring, building automation, and battery monitoring systems.
  • At least 7 years’ experience leading and motivating a diverse, technical workforce.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related field, or equal experience instead of education, or military facilities training/certification equivalent. 

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
  • Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
