NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Python Developer to join our team in Montreal, Quebec (CA-QC), Canada (CA).

 

 

Our team is responsible for the archiving of all electronic communications in the firm, in order to meet and exceed the legal and regulatory requirements.

 

We are a risk adverse team, specializing in careful and well tested deployments of our products and processes in order to adhere to the highest production standards.

 

The chosen candidate will enjoy working with a diverse set of clients such as Technology & Information Risk, Legal and Compliance, as well as application developers, while working closely with senior members on the team. They will gain an understanding of applications and data sources and how to carefully archive their communications with high quality and precision.

 

The candidate must have solid Unix/Linux experience, Perl/Python, and DB2, as well as SDLC experience.

 

Knowledge of email standards and mail servers, including email archiving, is preferred. It is essential to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to good planning, analytical and organizational skills.

 

As our team deals deal with regulatory and legal requirements, any experience in delivering changes with high precision is greatly desired.

 

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years of application development experience

3+ years of experience in Perl/Python in UNIX environment -Experience in SQL / Stored Procedures with a RDBMS, preferably DB2 and SQL Server

Experience in writing UNIX Shell Scripts using commands like awk, sed, and Perl to automate system admin jobs -Knowledge of object oriented principles and data structure

Experience working on projects using Agile development methodologies

 

Preferred skills:

Experience using source code control (Git, Stash, perforce or CVS) in a team environment -Knowledge of email standards and mail servers, including SMTP, MIME, LDAP, Sentrion/Sendmail etc.
