Role Overview
The Associate Director – HR Policy & People Analytics is responsible for leading the HR Policy workstream and delivering advanced people analytics and reporting for the People & Culture function. This role provides strategic and operational leadership in policy design, governance, lifecycle management, and data-driven insights to enable compliant, scalable, and informed HR decision-making across geographies.
The role partners closely with HR leadership, Legal, Risk, Compliance, HR Operations, and HR Systems teams to ensure policies are well-governed and analytics enable visibility, accuracy, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise HR Policy Governance Framework
- Establish and maintain a global HR policy governance framework covering the full policy lifecycle
- Define standards for policy structure, classification, ownership, and documentation Establish global policy templates, playbooks, and control mechanisms.
- Ensure consistency of HR policies across geographies, COEs, and operating models
Policy Audit, Consolidation and Risk Identification
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of HR policies to identify redundancies and gaps.
- Lead consolidation and rationalization of policies into a simplified, cohesive policy landscape.
- Maintain a structured view of policy health, risks, and remediation priorities.
Policy Lifecycle Management
- Define and enforce a standardized HR policy lifecycle including creation, review, approval, renewal, and retirement
- Establish governance checkpoints, review cadence, version control, and archival standards.
- Ensure policies are audit-ready from a governance and documentation perspective
Reporting & Analytics
- Own analytics, dashboards, and MIS reporting for the P&C Delivery function
- Define and govern standard HR metrics, data definitions, and reporting frameworks.
- Identify policy and compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive automation of reporting using advanced Excel, Power BI, and analytics tools
- Partner with HR Systems and IT teams on reporting architecture, system transitions, and analytics enablement
- Ensure data accuracy, standardization, and compliance with information security and privacy guidelines
Stakeholder & Global Collaboration
- Act as the primary policy governance liaison with COE Leads, Legal and Compliance teams
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders on policy interpretation and compliance matters.
- Manage external advisors and consultants supporting global policy initiatives.
- Support HR leadership forums with structured insights on policy health and analytics trends
Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting for policy adherence.
- Conduct regular policy effectiveness reviews and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage best practices and benchmarking to mature the Global Policy COE.
- Develop automated dashboards for real time visibility on HR Ops performance trends
- Periodic and timely reporting of HR Ops KPIs & facilitating performance reviews with leadership.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Experience in HR Policy/HR Analytics/HR Operations, or HR Shared Services
- Strong program management skills to drive enterprise policy governance, consolidation, and lifecycle management
- Advanced Excel & Power BI capability with proven expertise in people analytics, MIS reporting, dashboards, and automation.
- Experience operating in large, complex, or global organizations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- High ownership and comfort operating independently in a matrixed environment
- Ability to work independently and build structures from the ground up
