Data Test Engineer (ETL Testing)

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
•    8-12 years of experience in ETL / DWH testing.
•    Strong SQL skills for complex validation queries.
•    Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (any combination of): 
o    Data Factory (Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2)
o    Lakehouse (Delta tables, Notebooks)
o    Data Warehouse (SQL Endpoint)
o    Power BI semantic model validation
•    Experience testing data platforms built on Azure (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks).
•    Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and medallion architecture.
•    Experience with Python, PySpark, or similar scripting languages for automation.
Domain Knowledge
•    Experience testing insurance data (policies, claims, exposure, pricing, risk) is highly desirable.
•    Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks (Solvency II, IFRS 17) is a plus.
Soft Skills
•    Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills.
•    Ability to work in agile, cross functional teams.
•    Detail oriented mindset with a strong focus on data accuracy.

•    Experience with Purview for data governance validation.
•    Exposure to KQL databases and real time analytics testing.
•    Microsoft certifications in Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, or Power BI.
•    Experience with test automation frameworks for data engineering.

Engagement Details
•    Location: Hybrid/Remote with occasional visits to NTT offices (Delhi/NCR).
•    Reporting: Works under the Test Lead and collaborates with Fabric Engineers, Solution Architects, and Hiscox Data Platform teams.
•    Duration: Multi phase engagement aligned with Hiscox’s data modernization roadmap.
