We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Associate Director to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana (US-LA), United States (US).

The Operations Manager (OM) will ensure optimal performance and reliability of the client’s environment, coordinate the resolution of operational issues, and act as the liaison with Government personnel to facilitate and ensure the satisfactory delivery of all scope under operations and general software support. The OM assigns, schedules, and reviews work of subordinates, including subcontractors, and verifies the proper alignment with documented processes and procedures.  or requested programming, testing, and documentation techniques. The OM is responsible for quality control (QC) and compliance with quality processes and procedures and will identify areas for internal improvement and develop plans for implementing the improvements.  The OM will provide direct supervision to a large team of operational, production, service, and administrative team members including:   

 

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate work efforts based on operational and project objectives. Set and communicate clear expectations for work outcomes and manage performance
  • Lead various technical teams in the areas of Windows administration, Linux, storage, networking, and database to support and monitor systems and for anomalies and resolve challenging issues
  • Direct teams in responding to system alerts, critical issues and outages following standard operating procedures
  • Identify potential problems and emerging issues and work to find solutions to maximize efficiency
  • Define and lead teams in continuous improvement initiatives within operations
  • Coordinate cross-functional team collaboration for purposes of exchanging ideas, resolving complex technical issues, and creating learning opportunities.
  • Server as an expert in communicating at every level of the team from leadership to subordinates accordingly on project statuses, major issues, shifting priorities, etc.
  • Work with the HR team to recruit, interview and onboard top talent
  • Develop and review staffing models to ensure optimum use of resources for projects and steady state support of clients.
  • Identify and escalate challenging issues or requests to senior team members while taking the opportunity to learn.
  • Support operations activities across multiple environments and networks.
  • Monitor system and application logs for anomalies and resolve challenging issues.
  • Support virtualization of infrastructure components using automation tools and processes.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years managerial/ leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with system administration including Windows or Linux
  • 5+ years of Infrastructure knowledge from applications to operations systems to physical infrastructure including servers, and networking and storage equipment
  • 5+ years of experience with knowledge in operations management utilizing ITIL processes
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including those who do not have a technical background.
  • Highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering. Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems.

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who works in Colorado is $125,000 - $185,000. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on a number of factors, including work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications. The candidate may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on personal and/or company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life  and AD&D, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
