We are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist Advisor to join our team in New York, New York (US-NY).
The Business Development Specialist Advisor assists the Sales Executives and/or Client Executives during the pursuit to develop relationships with existing and potential customers to properly align NTT DATA’s capabilities to customer business objectives. Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of NTT DATA’s services to meet such requirements. Facilitates the overall solution ensuring alignment of the customer’s requirements to final value proposition. Works closely with sales and delivery teams to assist in opportunity qualification, development closure and transition of these solutions to delivery.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Participates in lead qualification, client proposal development and presentations, developing value propositions for customers, and understanding and communication of NTT DATA capabilities.
- Manages the value proposition development process for prospective clients to include requests for information, proposal and presentation development, as well as developing and maintaining sales content for use in business development activities.
- Participates in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns to drive the sales of NTT DATA’s products and services.
- Supervises the development of cost models, manages the solution change control process, and oversees, coordinates and finalizes deal proposal content.
- Guides practice and field sales to effectively position solution and provide overall governance review and approval for new business opportunities.
- Ensures value proposition meets the customer's requirement and can be delivered within the proposed scope.
- Works with business unit leaders to design, develop, package and communicate the services that NTT DATA can deliver to customers.
- Maintains a high level of industry, organization, product and service knowledge to transfer this knowledge to customers and prospects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Anticipates how market and competitive factors will influence the selling of NTT DATA products and services.
- Long-term vision of business/technology direction for NTT DATA.
- Advises customers/NTT DATA on strategic business and technology plans.
- Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader on the industry, the NTT DATA business model and competitors.
- Effectively exercises power and influences key decisions for the benefit of NTT DATA and the customer.
- Works effectively with functional leaders throughout the organization.
Must have:
- 5+ years of direct Business Development experience in IT services
Proven track record of closing transactions with $30M+ in total contract value (TCV)
