We are currently seeking a Managing Director, Banking & Financial Services Leader, North America to join our team in New York, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

The Managing Director, Banking & Financial Services Leader, North America is a high-impact, visible leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a robust industry segment strategy within the US Banking and Financial Services market. This role will drive significant growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability, with an eventual expansion strategy targeting selected countries and global banks.
Operating within a matrixed environment, the Managing Director collaborates with industry client executives, sales teams, delivery, and consulting groups to deliver innovative solutions across NTT DATA’s comprehensive suite of services—including Consulting (business and technology), Outsourcing Services (Business Process, Digital, Application, Infrastructure), and future-focused offerings. The leader will elevate NTT DATA’s market presence, acting as a subject matter expert and inspiring both clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Growth: Lead diverse, matrixed teams and accounts, developing and executing revenue growth strategies that drive profitability and foster enduring client relationships.
- Client-Centric Engagement: Provide executive leadership in crafting tailored client engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering high-value outcomes.
- Industry-Led Business Development: Build and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies that capitalize on regional opportunities and support corporate goals in a highly matrixed setting.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development: Build and lead a scalable, high-performing segment team focused on relationship management, revenue expansion, and service excellence.
- Service Portfolio Expansion: Collaborate with NTT DATA Lines-of-Business Leaders (Application Services, BPO, Cloud, Consulting, Digital, Data, Infrastructure, Security) to enhance and differentiate market offerings.
- Executive Coaching & Mentorship: Coach and mentor Client Executives, supporting the development of strategic account plans and scaling client relationships.
- Performance & Delivery Excellence: Set clear expectations for NTT DATA’s value proposition, ensuring delivery teams exceed client expectations and enhance service quality.
- Escalation & Crisis Management: Serve as the senior escalation resource for delivery initiatives, resolving challenges with a solutions-oriented approach focused on client success.
- Global Strategy Coordination: Coordinate global banking strategy with the CGO and drive cross-regional collaboration to maximize impact.
Qualifications:
- 17+ years in Information Technology Services and Advisory Consulting, with a proven record of building strategic customer relationships and go-to-market strategies.
- 12+ years leading client engagement/account teams, including P&L oversight, account strategy, service level agreements, and delivery performance.
- 10+ years of Banking and Financial Services industry expertise, with executive-level contacts, deep knowledge of core banking solutions, and strong awareness of industry trends.
- 8+ years providing strategic direction and leadership in Capital Markets business development, driving innovative approaches to expand market presence.
