We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Newport News, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Daily operations will include the creation and management of policies in ePO, configuration of filters to identify anomalies, investigation and documentation of detected anomalies, ongoing reporting of compliance and security status and issues, and overall health of the ePO server. Additional duties will include management of Central Logging Appliances (McAfee ESM/Splunk). Configuration and validation of devices reporting into the appliances and reviewing of logs/generation of reports.

  • Candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently to produce required labor with little to no oversight.
  • The ability to research problems to develop, present, and implement full solutions after appropriate approvals is imperative to the success of this project.
  • Provide daily task level updates to project/program manager.
  • Work in a mixed stakeholder environment while maintaining fidelity of information.
  • The ability to create meaningful reports and dashboards reflecting compliance data in real time is a necessity.
  • Experience with managing operating systems and applications within DoD and classified environments is also required.
  • Must be able to create an auditable log including notes that reflect identification and action taken on all mitigated issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and overall organizational abilities are crucial to the success of the project.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of systems administration or cyber security experience.
  • DOD 8570 compliant to include COMPTIA Security + equivalent or higher.
  • Microsoft Windows or VMWare certification.
  • DOD Secret or higher clearance, with SSBI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to understand deployment and management and tuning McAfee Enterprise Policy Orchestrator 5.9, McAfee Endpoint Security, and McAfee Data Loss Protection.  This experience must include configuration of self-documenting policies and automated responses to unexpected events.  
  • An understanding of VMware View Virtual Desktops is required to integrate McAfee and VDI configurations.
  • Experience with NIST/DISA STIGs and checklists is required.
