We are currently seeking a Fronet End Consultant-TypeScript/React (or Vue) with deep expertise in Canvas/SVG/WebGL to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Role 1: Senior Frontend Engineer

Summary

Own the end-to-end visualization stack that converts PSCAD .pscx XML into an interactive, high-performance 2D schematic. Lead decisions on rendering tech (SVG/Canvas/WebGL), architect the scene graph, and ensure smooth pan/zoom, hit-testing, and highlighting for very large models (5,000+ components). Partner closely with the domain team to reflect power-system semantics in the UI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the XML-to-visual pipeline: parse .pscx (XML) to extract hierarchy, component types, coordinates, orientation, and connections; map to a normalized scene graph.
• Build a performant renderer using Canvas/WebGL/SVG (e.g., PixiJS, Konva, or raw Canvas) with level-of-detail strategies, culling, and virtualization to keep 60 FPS for large models.
• Implement robust interaction: pan/zoom, multi-select, hit-testing, tooltips, context menus, component search, and hierarchical navigation (sub-page drill-down, breadcrumbs).
• Create a reliable mapping between model entities and UI elements to support AI-driven highlights, focus, and annotations from streaming backend messages.
• Develop diff visualization: overlays, side-by-side comparison, and granular param-change highlighting on components and connections.
• Collaborate with the Copilot UI engineer to expose rendering APIs/events (select, highlight, diff apply/revert), and to integrate streaming highlight updates from the backend.
• Document rendering architecture, scene graph schemas, and extension hooks for future features.

Required qualifications

• 5–8+ years building complex frontends in TypeScript/React (or Vue) with deep expertise in Canvas/SVG/WebGL-based visualization.
• Proven experience building large-scale interactive editors/viewers (CAD/EDA, GIS, or engineering dashboards) with strict performance requirements.
• Strong algorithms and data structures background: spatial indexing, graph processing, incremental layout, and memory optimization.
• Experience with binary/text parsing and structured data pipelines; XML parsing and secure handling (prevent XXE, sanitize inputs).
