We are currently seeking a Manual Testing Consultant to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
Job Description: Manual Test Engineer (BFSI Domain)
Role: Manual Test Engineer
Experience: 4 to 6 Years
Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune (or as applicable)
Domain: Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Manual Test Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing within the BFSI domain. The candidate will be responsible for validating business and functional requirements, executing test scenarios, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality delivery of banking and financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate banking and financial applications, interfaces, and workflows.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a testing perspective.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT testing.
- Hands-on experience in test case preparation, test execution, and defect management.
- Good understanding of BFSI business processes and applications.
- Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or Quality Center.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
BFSI Domain Experience (Mandatory)
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Retail Banking
- Corporate Banking
- Payments & Transfers
- Loans & Mortgages
- Lending Platforms
- Wealth Management
- Insurance Systems
- Trade Finance
- Customer Onboarding (KYC/AML)
- Cards and Transaction Processing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- ISTQB Certification is preferred.
- Exposure to SQL for backend data validation.
- Understanding of API testing concepts and financial regulatory compliance requirements.
