We are currently seeking a Network Engineering Specialist Advisor - Palo Alto to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
Role Overview
The Network Security Specialist advisor will engage in daily maintenance and operations of the Firewall, Prisma. The Network Security Specialist Advisor will work primarily with Network Security products from different vendors like, Palo Alto, FortiGate. The Network Security Specialist advisor would design, confirm, determine and/or troubleshoot traffic flows, security implementation and configurations etc. Network Security Services include daily maintenance and operations of multiple customers’ network security infrastructure. The successful candidate will be required to troubleshoot firewall and network traffic flows, as well as maintain accurate documentation of network and security products, support activities and processes. The candidate will also be required to work independently and remotely when troubleshooting and must also be able to solve problems with minimal client input and ability to escalate when solution is not readily apparent.
Role Responsibilities
The Network Security Specialist Advisor would work on Requests, Changes, Incidents and Problem records to support our customers’ network security environment.
Implement Network Security solutions and provide operational support in a customer environment.
Support Palo Alto, Fortinet FW’s, Cloud Proxy solutions ( Netskope)
Expert knowledge on Palo Alto url filtering, Vulnerability protection, AV, Anti-spyware profiles.
Strong knowledge on App-id, use of app filters
Expert in troubleshooting issues with packet captures, debugs on Pal Alto and Fortinet FW
The SME will provide technical escalation to L2 support engineers.
Write custom queries on Palo Alto to fetch reporting data.
Provide On-call support for high severity incidents in a 24x7 environment.
Ensure that Service Level Agreements and operational standards are met.
Perform system maintenance, checkups and maintain current documentation.
Provide resolution plans for device issues.
Propose service, process, and technical improvements to management.
Experience and at least 12+ years Network Security administration experience.
Excellent Time Management skills required to properly manage operations duties and other task that will assist in the optimization of the firewall team.
Strong troubleshooting skills around Palo Alto Firewalls.
Solid understanding of the template/stack architecture.
Responsibilities included assisting in Daily Steady State operations in request and change management as well as weekly on-call rotation support.
Complete Weekly/Monthly Health Status checks across all support network security platforms.
Working with multiple customers support environment to complete upgrades, patches, overall operational support.
Assist in conducting rule set reviews to improve overall security footprint for our customers.
Provide operational support of the Network & Security environments.
Detect security issues, create customer tickets and manage problems until closure.
Ensure that Service Level Agreements and operational standards are met.
Perform system maintenance, checkups and maintain current documentation.
Provide resolution plans for device issues.
Propose service, process and technical improvements to management.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Hands on experience with Palo Alto, Prisma, Fortinet
Ability to grasp complex issues to arrive at optimal solutions.
Strong ethics and integrity
Flexible to changing needs of customer, account, and team.
Excellent customer facing communication skills, customer support and knowledge of ITIL best practices. ITIL certification is a plus.
Highly experience architect with proven knowledge on products likes Firewalls (Palo Alto), F5, Prisma SASE, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and switching technologies.
Understanding the integration with authentication protocols such as LDAP, IWA, IWA-direct, SSO, Active directory.
At least 2 mid-level certification in Network security from any of the vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet (CCNP security, PCNSE, etc.)
Candidate must possess good time management skills to properly manage operations duties and other task that will assist in the optimization of the Network Security team
Clear understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
12+ years of network troubleshooting experience and at least 7 years in Network & Security administration.
Network Design experience will be an added advantage.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Desired Skills
Experience with Cisco, AWS, Palo Alto, AWS, EIGRP, BGP networking and F5 is a must
Must be PCNSE certified
Knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto VPN products and ScreenOS software
Current Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE R&S) with excellent knowledge on PA, Prisma, SD-WAN, F5 and AWS network
Experienced with ITIL best practices and familiar with regulations such as SOX, PCI, HIPPA
