We are currently seeking a Smalltalk Application Developer to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing Smalltalk changes to the EBS Branch Teller system. Performing full life cycle tasks of functional and technical design, coding, unit testing, integration, and deployment.
• Working closely and communicating appropriately with all stakeholders including business areas, technical architects, analysts, designers, and testers.
• Delivering high quality software within agreed deadlines that fully meet business requirements.
• Resolving production issues.
• Adhering to all processes and standards for version control, change management, release management, incident management and problem management.

Technical Skills

• Experience in developing Smalltalk applications
• Strong SQL skills (DB2 and Oracle)
• IBM MQ
• Linux, Windows
• J2EE
• HTML and CSS
• XML and JSON
• Git
• Also desirable: IBM Liberty, Webservices (SOAP and REST), IBM Eclipse, IBM Rational Application Developer

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience of working from business requirements and design specifications.
• Strong and up-to-date understanding of best practice Smalltalk design.
• Appreciation of secure coding and security techniques.
• Strong knowledge of testing best practice (unit, integration testing).
• Experience with recognised software development lifecycle methodologies, coding standards, as well as version, change and release control.
• Some knowledge of Financial Services industry, in particular savings and lending.
