We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist Advisor to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Role Summary

The Application and Digital Channels Solution Architect will own the architecture of customer-facing and operational applications across digital channels, service platforms, and core banking integrations.

The architect will lead application modernization and ensure that new solutions integrate effectively with the Bank’s legacy estate, enterprise services, integration platforms, and cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end application architecture for customer-channel and operational-platform initiatives.
• Define application architecture, service boundaries, solution components, interfaces, and deployment models.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable application solutions.
• Define modernization approaches for legacy and tightly coupled applications.
• Design solutions using appropriate patterns, including:
• Microservices
• Modular applications
• Service-oriented architecture
• Event-driven applications
• Cloud-native services
• API-led architecture
• Define how customer channels interact with operational systems, core banking platforms, integration services, and enterprise data services.
• Support API design and define application-level service contracts.
• Establish application patterns for authentication, authorization, session management, auditability, logging, and error handling.
• Define application-level non-functional requirements covering:
• Performance
• Scalability
• Availability
• Resilience
• Recoverability
• Maintainability
• Supportability
• Provide technical design leadership to application development squads.
• Review detailed technical designs and ensure alignment with the approved solution architecture.
• Work with security, infrastructure, integration, data, testing, and service-transition teams.
• Identify and manage application risks, technology dependencies, obsolescence concerns, and technical debt.
• Present application solutions to the relevant architecture governance forums.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Strong application and solution architecture experience.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale customer-facing or operational applications.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Microservices architecture
• RESTful APIs
• Event-driven architecture
• Distributed application design
• Application integration patterns
• Domain-driven or domain-aligned design
• Experience integrating modern applications with legacy platforms.
• Experience defining application components, service boundaries, interfaces, and deployment models.
• Knowledge of identity, authentication, authorization, encryption, and application-security principles.
• Experience translating functional and non-functional requirements into application designs.
• Strong understanding of availability, scalability, performance, observability, and resilience.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to multiple engineering teams.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Digital banking or financial-services channel experience.
• Experience with corporate or retail customer journeys.
• Knowledge of Corporate or Retail FX customer journeys.
• Experience with cloud-native application modernization.
• Knowledge of containers, orchestration platforms, API gateways, caching, and service-mesh concepts.
• Exposure to Coconet multi:versa or another corporate digital-banking platform.
• Exposure to Murex MX.3 or another treasury or markets platform.
• Experience with Bank of Ireland processes such as DEX, ADF, ISR, or Service Transition.

Suitable Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have led the architecture of a major digital channel, customer portal, operational workflow, or application-modernization programme. The candidate should combine broad application expertise with strong integration capability and experience working in a regulated environment.
