We are currently seeking a Systems Integration Specialist to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
The SolarWinds Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and support of the SolarWinds monitoring platform. The administrator works closely with senior engineers, operations teams, and account stakeholders to support monitoring requirements and address operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Support
- Administer and support the SolarWinds Orion platform and related modules.
- Perform routine platform maintenance, health checks, and basic troubleshooting.
- Support upgrades, patches, and backup activities under guidance from senior administrators.
- Monitor platform performance and resolve polling or data collection issues.
Monitoring & Alerting
- Configure and maintain monitoring for network devices, servers, and infrastructure components.
- Develop and manage alerts, thresholds, and trigger conditions.
- Fine‑tune alerts to reduce false positives and alert noise.
- Validate alert recovery behavior and resolve stuck or non‑clearing alerts.
Event & Incident Enablement
- Support out‑of‑the‑box integration with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident creation.
- Assist in mapping alerts to incidents and ensuring accurate severity and CI association.
- Work with senior resources to troubleshoot alert‑to‑ticket synchronization issues.
Dashboards & Reporting
- Build and maintain standard dashboards and views for operations teams.
- Generate availability, performance, and utilization reports as required.
- Support customer and internal reporting requests.
Operational Support & Collaboration
- Act as L2 support for SolarWinds‑related incidents and service requests.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Follow operational processes, documentation, and governance standards.
- Work closely with senior SolarWinds administrators for complex issues and enhancements.
Required Skills & Expertise
Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience with the SolarWinds Orion platform.
- Working knowledge of modules such as:
- Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
- Server & Application Monitor (SAM)
- Understanding of SNMP, ICMP, WMI, and agent‑less monitoring concepts.
- Basic experience in alert configuration and threshold tuning.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Basic exposure to SQL / SWQL or scripting is a plus.
Operational Skills
- Understanding of incident and event management processes.
- Ability to follow troubleshooting playbooks and escalation procedures.
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts is desirable.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in shifts or on‑call rotations if required.
- Willingness to learn and grow towards a senior SolarWinds SME role.
Experience & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in IT operations or monitoring tools.
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience with SolarWinds administration.
- Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments preferred.
- SolarWinds or ITIL certification is a plus.
