Job Description – Senior Application Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer with 8+ years of IT experience in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in application development, system integration, and solution delivery, with the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performing business solutions that support critical organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain enterprise applications based on business requirements.
• Develop and enhance business functionality across customer lifecycle, workflow automation, process management, case management, lending, onboarding, servicing, or other domain-specific capabilities.
• Build reusable components, custom modules, workflows, APIs, and integrations using platform-specific technologies and development frameworks.
• Integrate enterprise applications with internal systems, third-party applications, cloud services, and external platforms using standard integration technologies and APIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in solution design discussions, technical architecture reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, and implementation planning.
• Support Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and release activities.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and platform optimization.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years of hands-on enterprise application development experience.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, configuring, and customizing enterprise applications using modern development frameworks and platform capabilities.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, scripting technologies, or platform-specific development tools.
• Experience in application integration using REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, or middleware technologies.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, data modeling, security models, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
• Experience with relational databases, query optimization, and data integration techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git or equivalent), automated deployment tools, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Retail, or other enterprise domains.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, CRM platforms, workflow automation platforms, or enterprise business applications.
• Knowledge of secure application development practices, compliance standards, and enterprise governance.
• Relevant technology or platform certifications are preferred.
• Experience with automated testing, performance optimization, monitoring, and production support.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
