We are currently seeking a Oracle Functional HCM/Payroll Lead to join our team in Ontario, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM/Payroll Functional Lead Consultant to provide production support services for an Oracle Cloud HCM environment. This position is primarily focused on Oracle Cloud Payroll, Absence Management, and Core HR support, including break/fix activities, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and minor system enhancements.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, payroll teams, HR operations, and technical resources to ensure the stability and performance of Oracle Cloud HCM processes supporting both weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle HCM professional who enjoys solving production issues, supporting critical payroll operations, and driving continuous improvement in an established Oracle Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud Payroll, Absence Management, and Core HR production support activities.
  • Provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle Cloud HCM applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues impacting payroll processing and HR operations.
  • Support weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles by identifying and resolving system, configuration, and process-related issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Perform impact assessments and support implementation of minor enhancements and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with payroll, HR, benefits, and IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Participate in defect triage, prioritization, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Document solutions, support procedures, and knowledge articles to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor support tickets and ensure adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend practical Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Support quarterly Oracle Cloud updates by assessing impacts, validating functionality, and coordinating testing activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior support team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Cloud HCM.
  • Strong functional expertise in:
    • Oracle Cloud Payroll (U.S. Payroll required)
    • Oracle Cloud Absence Management
    • Oracle Cloud Core HR (Global Human Resources)
  • 8 Experience supporting Oracle Cloud HCM applications in a production support or AMS environment.
  • 8 Experience supporting payroll processes with weekly and semi-monthly payroll schedules.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex payroll and HR system issues.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HCM business processes and data flows.
  • 8 Experience performing configuration analysis and supporting minor functional enhancements.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced support environment.
  • 8 Experience working remotely with distributed teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Participation in two or more Oracle Cloud HCM full lifecycle implementations.
  • Oracle Cloud HCM certifications.
  • Consulting experience supporting multiple clients and industries.
  • Experience supporting quarterly Oracle Cloud release activities.
  • ITIL or production support process experience.

Min/Required Qualification:

  • 8+ years of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Cloud HCM - Cloud Payroll (US payroll required), cloud absence management and cloud core HR
  • 8 Experience supporting Oracle Cloud HCM applications in a production support or AMS environment.
  • 8 Experience supporting payroll processes with weekly and semi-monthly payroll schedules.

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is CAD $93,979 - $181362. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
