We are currently seeking a Senior Data Conversion Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

Project Summary:
The Senior Data Conversion Specialist will play a key role in the successful migration and integration of IT Service Management (ITSM) data into the Enterprise Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within IFS Assyst. Working closely with implementation and integration specialists, this role ensures accurate, secure, and efficient data transformation from legacy systems into a centralized environment, while maintaining data integrity, accessibility, and transparency for support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead the planning, execution, and validation of data migration activities from legacy ITSM systems into the Enterprise CMDB.
•    Collaborate with IFS Assyst Implementation and Integration Specialists to design and implement data conversion strategies.
•    Analyze, extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources, including databases and structured files.
•    Develop and maintain comprehensive data migration and integration plans for multiple sites and business units.
•    Ensure seamless integration of data that cannot be directly migrated, maintaining usability for support teams across all levels.
•    Monitor and optimize data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the migration lifecycle.
•    Produce detailed migration and integration reports, including progress updates and issue tracking.
•    Support infrastructure-related activities, including database performance tuning, server upgrades, and maintenance.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during and after migration to ensure system reliability.

Mandatory Qualifications:
•    Must have 5+ years of experience in ETL processes involving IT service management data.
•    Must have 5+ years of experience managing ITSM data integration initiatives.
•    Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with IFS Assyst CMDB (version 10 or higher) in a large-scale environment (25,000+ users).
•    Experience developing and executing data migration strategies from diverse data sources (e.g., Excel, legacy CMDBs) into centralized CMDB platforms.
•    Experience with infrastructure maintenance, server upgrades, and database performance optimization.
•    Experience and ability to produce clear and accurate data migration progress and status reports.

Education & Security Requirements:
•    Must have a College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.
•    Must have a valid Federal Secret Security Clearance (required).
•    Must have ITIL v3 (or later) certification and can provide proof.
•    Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Ottawa or Halifax.
•    Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
