We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join our team in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (US-HI), United States (US).
The individual shall be part of team that provides engineering, maintenance, modernization, logistics, program planning, and budgeting support services to integrate Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems into the total ship solutions. These services require knowledge of submarine HM&E systems and submarine platform integration including signatures/signatures management, survivability, corrosion control, environmental and habitability, radiological hazard mitigation, materials (ferrous, non-ferrous, and composite), fabrication and joining, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), structural criteria and analysis, hydrodynamics, and ship controls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- The individual shall provide daily quality assurance support and assistance on QA/Level I/SUBSAFE efforts associated with submarine repairs. The contractor shall review Fleet data, records, and quality assurance reports to support SUBSAFE and Level I certification of materials and components and provide a summary of findings and recommendations.
- The individual shall support QA/Level I/SUBAFE instruction development for “document control,” Level I/SUBSAFE training, Critical Safety Item efforts, annual Level I/SUBSAFE Internal Audits, Level I/SUBSAFE vendor audits, QA/Level I/SUBSAFE self-assessments, and Level I/SUBSAFE/Scope of Cert/Fly-by-wire for all Level I (critical) materials.
- The individual shall support QA/Level I/SUBAFE instruction development for “document control,” Level I/SUBSAFE training, Critical Safety Item efforts, annual Level I/SUBSAFE Internal Audits, Level I/SUBSAFE vendor audits, QA/Level I/SUBSAFE self-assessments, and Level I/SUBSAFE/Scope of Cert/Fly-by-wire for all Level I (critical) materials.
- The individual shall provide engineering and technical support related to quality (SUBSAFE/Level I), and Fly-By-Wire issues associated with equipment/component material. Resolution of cost, safety, reliability and maintainability, and impact on design, production and procurement schedules shall be provided by the contractor.
- The individual shall identify potential technical and programmatic issues, capture lessons learned, and identify common program and hardware design changes and provide recommendations for implementation.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or GED) and
- (a) be a graduate of a military training program that provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation, or
- (b) be a graduate of a trade, industrial, or correspondence school in an engineering field.
- Ten years of professional work experience which shall include:
- (a) Five years of demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems installed on U.S. Navy submarines and/or experience providing Quality Assurance (QA) support for submarine equipment maintenance and repairs at a Navy or Private Shipyard.
- (b) One year of demonstrated experience with at least one of the following: nuclear engineering/radiological control, hazard emergency preparedness planning, fly-by-wire Ship Control Systems (SCS).
- US Citizen and possess a SECRET (or interim SECRET) level security clearance and maintain this SECRET clearance throughout the period of performance of the Task Order or specified Technical Instruction.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine tasks using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication of moderately complex, technical or administrative topics.
