We are currently seeking a Healthcare Claims Data Science Analyst to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona (US-AZ), United States (US).

NTT DATA GCA seeks a data scientist with experience evaluating/analyzing healthcare claims and encounter data to assist with identifying healthcare financial, treatment and policy outliers. The analyst will use machine learning models to identify suspicious claims and episodes of care.  They will collaborate with business SMEs to identify research paths, explore and review results, and refer leads to investigators. The analyst will examine claims data using DataBricks, Python, SQL, and other data pipeline tools as needed.
 
The analysis work requires technical experience developing machine learning models, research and interview skills, and strong communication skills to interact with business leaders to elicit criteria and feedback. 
 
The candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of healthcare claims processes and understanding of overall patient episodes of care concepts.
 
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a hands-on analysis and customer interaction mode, as well as in the role of mentor to less-experience technical and business analysts.


Job Responsibilities Include:
•    Collaborate with customer SMEs to identify potential data exploration use cases
•    Research promising machine learning techniques to identify data for use cases
•    Identify relevant claims and episodes of care datasets using machine learning models
•    Validate research data with industry SMEs
•    Document and review investigation results with customers

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of IT experience including:

•   Minimum 2 years experience with healthcare claims and episodes of care
•   Minimum 2 years experience developing machine learning models
•   Minimum 2 years years experience with DataBricks, Python, SQL, or related data pipeline and analytics software 
•   Minimum 5 years years research and customer interview skills
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $85,000-140,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
