We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer Advisor to join our team in a 100% Remote position in the United States.

 

How You’ll Help Us: 

NTT Data Public Cloud Managed Services team primarily focuses on creating value for the companies who are marching towards their goals of digitization and cloud adoption initiatives by:  

  1. Providing data-driven and out-come based end-to-end multi/hybrid cloud management solutions that focus on optimizing the value of their public cloud investments and allowing them to reap the benefits of economies of scale at every stage.
  2. Building and accelerating strategic cloud capabilities with an automation-first approach by utilizing the powers of DevOps, AIOps and SRE delivered in a continuous improvement and agility driven fashion. 

 

Why the Role Is Important: 

As a Cloud Managed Services Engineer, you will have the responsibility for delivering innovative, reliable, secure, and impactful operational support services for our customers across multiple public cloud environments (AWS, Azure and GCP). You will set them up for success by recommending, incorporating, and implementing best practices and act as a catalyst to the digitization journey of the customer.

 

Once You Are Here, You Will:  

  • Be part of a highly energized, fast-paced, dynamic project team that empowers and enables you to contribute with all your talents and creativity
  • Possess broad and deep expertise of cloud products, services, components, and how they operate
  • Utilize automation and DevOps tools, including Terraform, Ansible and Cloud-native services
  • Perform root cause analysis of systematic and complex cloud issues; identifies and implements necessary corrections
  • Initiate a follow-up and resolution on support cases that involve interactions with public cloud providers
  • Coordinate with clients, public cloud, and third-party providers on any design or architecture issues and owns the issue until a resolution is achieved
  • Keep abreast of new technology and makes recommendations as to how best to utilize new services/technologies for the benefit of our customers
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the design, architecture, and deployment of public cloud systems. Implement proofs-of-concept as needed
  • Analyze customer environments and presents strategic advice surrounding cost, capacity, security, DR, HA, and performance management
  • Participate in Customer service transitions, documents L2 architectures, and conducts KT sessions
  • Follow ITIL industry practices in service delivery and tickets management.
  • Transfer knowledge and provides leadership and mentorship support to team members

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall operational experience
  • 8+ years of Azure/AWS experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a diverse cloud support environment in a 24*7 production support model
  • 4+ years DevOps/scripting/APIs experience

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and storage principles with focus on Azure and AWS. Willing to work on multiple cloud platforms.
  • Technical hands-on expert in the design, architecture, and deployment of Hybrid Cloud environments
  • Good knowledge of emerging technologies, including DevSecOps, AIOps, and Containers
  • Cloud administration, OS/server administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
  • Solid scripting and automation experience. IaC/Terraform experience is a strong plus.
  • Able to work on On-Call rotations
  • Able to work independently in a project scenario and recommend solutions by performing POCs.
  • Strong in debugging and analyzing complex issues. Experience handling P1/P2 calls and escalations
  • Able to write formal external RCA documentation and presentations
  • Able to lead Customer service transitions
  • Passion for delivering timely and outstanding customer service
  • Able to Help L1/L2/L3 staff in support

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Azure Solution Architect Certification
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification
  • Four Year BS/BA in Information Technology degree or equivalent experience
