We are currently seeking a API Automation Performance Testing Lead - REMOTE to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

 

  • Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports accurately and clearly.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing purposes.
  • Knowledge of Security Standards and Best Practices: In-depth understanding of security standards like OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, or NIST guidelines.
  • Ability to assess and address potential security vulnerabilities in software applications
  • Develop performance test scripts that accurately simulate user behavior.
  • Define realistic performance scenarios, setting up test environments, and effectively executing performance tests.
  • Analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks. 
  • Implement QA best practices, such as recommend changes or improvements to existing processes, methods, and technologies that improve product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality engineering practices to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Train and mentor junior quality engineers and provide guidance on quality assurance best practices.
  • Debugging and problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug code, identify and fix issues, and find solutions to problems.
  • Use testing frameworks like JUnit, or Selenium for writing and executing tests, as well as understanding the importance of code quality and test coverage. 
  • Work in a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years testing with demonstrated ability to design and execute effective test plans.
    8+ years of creating comprehensive test cases for functional and non-functional testing.
  • 8+ years experience with various testing techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing. 
  • 6+ years of Test Automation expertise in using industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
  • 6+ years experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • 6+ years experience with RESTful APIs: Understanding of RESTful API concepts, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), and how to consume APIs using tools like Postman.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, including concepts like sprints, user stories, and backlog management.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Ability to analyze problems, break them down into smaller tasks, and come up with effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail: Paying close attention to details, writing clean and maintainable code, and following coding standards and best practices.
  • Self-motivation and proactiveness: Taking initiative, being self-driven, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve skills and contribute to the team's success.

Cloud: Exposure to AWS/Azure

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $82,944 – 172,800. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
