We are currently seeking a Card and Payments Technical Architect to join our team in the United States (US).

***This is a virtual/REMOTE U.S. based role which will require 25-50% variable travel.

About NTT DATA’s Banking & Financial Services Consulting Practice:  NTT DATA’s Card expertise helps our clients define and implement core capabilities required to adapt to today’s rapidly evolving payments ecosystem. We leverage the deep and collective experience that our consultants have gained from working with the largest global Card organizations to support our clients move forward with key business initiatives while getting the most out of existing products and services.

Responsibilities:
- Lead/support client engagements for Financial Services, Payments, Merchant Acquiring, or Issuing clients, as part of their strategy, transformation and implementation initiatives
- Participate in architecture consulting and advisory engagements, engaging with clients to help strategically design and implement transformative technology solutions within their Card and Payments organizations
- Provide architectural support to key initiatives through ideation, design, scope, test, etc.
- Produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business, financial, and technology objectives through documentation of strategy, systems, architectures, process flows and value-chains
- Support the creation of technology blueprints and roadmaps showing the evolution of systems from current to target state which meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives
- Support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions
- Lead/ support Card and Payments credentialling conversations with prospective clients
- Support business development activities ranging from leading or contributing to client proposals, developing industry perspectives and providing thought leadership in the form of blogs, whitepapers, articles and/or conference representation
- Facilitate discussions, identify and analyze issues, and develop structured solutions in the project environment with a large group of diverse stakeholders and participants
- Manage end-to-end project execution, including stakeholder communications, and minimize engagement risk by proactively identifying and raising issues and recommending courses of remediation
- Meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks (business development, client management, project management, team management, firm leadership)

Basic Requirements:
- 8+ years experience working within the Card and Payments industry with an understanding of the systems architecture and technology ecosystem of the industry
- Certification or experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g. TOGAF, CMM, Zachman, etc.)
- Experience with business and/or technology architecture for payments functions such as checks, ACH, Wire, Credit Card, Debit Card, and Payment products such as Bill Pay, Zelle, etc.
- Experience with legacy and emerging payment areas of focus (including Real Time Payments, Mobile Wallets, Payment Hubs, card tokenization schemes, ISO 20022 Standards, and Open Banking)
- Experience working with new and emerging digital payment capabilities, including mobile wallets and card tokenization schemes
- Experience networking within the Financial Services & Payments sector

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $175,000-$320,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.  This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
