NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Cloud Security Principal Consultant to join our team in the United States (US).



The Cloud Security Principal Consultant serves as a security lead/visionary for Cloud Security Services.  The Consultant aligns our cloud information security capabilities with our customer’s business strategy, security policies, and regulatory/compliance landscape resulting in increased protection and reduced risk.  This is an exciting new role in the organization that will lead the development of innovative cloud security solutions, drawing on capabilities both inside and outside NTT DATA Services.  You will work with a fast-paced global leader in IT Services to design, deliver and optimize our cloud information security services for NTT DATA Services clients.


**This is a U.S. virtual/REMOTE role which will require up to 25-50% domestic U.S. travel.


- Work with other NTT DATA Services teams and 3rd-party partners to evaluate new / emerging security products and technologies and make recommendations to leadership in regards to the security posture impact on the services and organization
- Analyze security risks, business opportunities, assess potential markets, and develop projects for use in new cloud security initiatives
- Provide thought leadership, guidance, and advice internally within the organization as well as externally in social media, professional organizations, and conferences as it relates our cloud security offerings and capabilities
- Work toward mutual goals and objectives across strategic partners and/or customers to build awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of a product or solution
- Using industry trends and best practices, maintain a forward-looking Cloud Security Strategy and Roadmap that mitigates threats and aligns with all current and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Provide oversight and lead the day-to-day responsibilities of cloud security operations team
- Collaborate directly with clients in the definition and implementation of information security policies, strategies, procedures and settings to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client’s environment and cloud data
- Ensure the delivery of information security services to the customer is in compliance with contracts and any applicable standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, SOX)
- Identify, review, and recommend information security improvements as they relate to the achievement of our customer’s business goals and objectives
- Participate in internal and external audits for the customer (e.g., PCI, SOX)
- Manage and drive remediation efforts related to information security; remediation may be from incidents, penetration tests, vulnerability scans, internal/external audits and Critical Practice assessments
- Identify information security weaknesses and/or gaps in the cloud environment and work with the customer and other stakeholders to bring information security services back to standards.
- Cultivate trusted partner relationships with account management teams and customers; keep consistent and open dialogue to uncover issues, challenges, and risks


Basic Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree and 10+ years relevant experience in three or more areas of the following areas: public cloud infrastructure, secure application development, virtual network, big data, elastic compute, cloud security (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- 5+ years cloud IT security experience, including security design and implementation
- IT Security compliance experience and knowledge of standards / regulations impacting information security (e.g., NIST, PCI, HIPAA, SOX)
- Thorough understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures and experience creating conceptual, logical and physical security diagrams
- Experience managing IDS / IPS / firewall systems in distributed/hybrid cloud environment
- Experience with security event logs from Windows, Unix, intrusion detection systems, network, and remote access solutions


- Common security certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CEH or CSSLP
- Relevant Cloud Security Certifications such as: Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Certified Integrator Secure Cloud Services, CompTIA Cloud+, Professional Cloud Security Manager
