We are currently seeking a Java Developer to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain java application phases, code, and software
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging, as well as recommending changes to improve the established processes
• Transform requirements into stipulations and identify production and non-production application issues
• Work as part of a software development team
• Write code per app specifications
• Test to ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Analyze user requirements to determine how to translate into Java
• Debug and resolving technical issues
• Validate the implementation for conformance to the design
• Decompose technical tasks and provide accurate estimates.
• Performance tuning of specific software components.
• Work in compliance with configuration management rules and guidelines
• Enhancement/bug fixes for spring batch applications
• Participate in analysis activities such as producing use cases for a business object model
• Lead software projects through all stages of the life cycle, including responsibility for requirements capture, design, development and acceptance testing
• Develope software that conforms to a design model within its constraints

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum seven years of Java Development experience
• Minimum five years of Oracle application experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle RDBMS
• Expertise in Java Spring MVC framework, Spring Batch
• Expertise in Java web services (SOAP & REST) on weblogic application server
• Expertise in Groovy scripting
• Working knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12C [BPEL, ESB, Mediator, Adapters, Business Rules, Human Tasks, OWSM], BAM, BPM
• UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
• Service interface testing (SOAPUI)
• Oracle OHI Groovy development experience
• Professional experience building enterprise class distributed java Services working with core java and multi-threading
• Detailed business domain knowledge of U.S. Healthcare
• Strong Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Strong understanding of how the web and web apps work
• Hands on experience developing Java backends for web applications
• Ability to make pragmatic engineering decisions from that knowledge
• Working knowledge of OHI (Oracle Health Insurance) system
• Experience in building Java microservices consumed by JavaScript based web applications
• Desire to build enterprise class distributed and scalable applications 
• Object-oriented programming
• Able to work closely with operations group for deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with a variety of designs, languages, and methodologies (e.g. SQL, ORM, J2EE, Microservices, Agile and Scrum)
• Competence and comfort using multiple frameworks
• Ability to gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment
