Oracle OCI / IAM / EBS & Database SME

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) / Identity and Access Management (IAM) SME with strong expertise across Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x, Oracle Databases, Oracle RAC, Azure IAM, and cloud infrastructure.

This role will be responsible for designing, administering, securing, migrating, and supporting complex Oracle application and database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of Oracle application, database, cloud infrastructure, security, and identity management expertise, with experience supporting highly available and business-critical environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, application, database, and business teams to ensure Oracle environments are secure, reliable, highly available, and optimized for performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Cloud IAM & Security

  • Administer and govern Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), custom roles, least-privilege access, and cloud governance policies.
  • Manage Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, identity lifecycle management, and integration with on-premises directories.
  • Design and manage secure access to Azure Storage Accounts, including access keys, SAS tokens, lifecycle policies, and data access configurations.
  • Administer Azure Key Vault, including secrets, certificates, encryption keys, and integration with Oracle and enterprise application components.
  • Support identity, authentication, authorization, and security requirements across Oracle and Azure environments.
  • Implement security controls and access practices aligned with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and cloud security best practices.

 

Oracle E-Business Suite Administration

  • Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2.x across application, web, and database tiers, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing environments.
  • Perform EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, environment refreshes, and maintenance, including CPU/PSU, AD, and TXK patches.
  • Troubleshoot EBS cloning issues and perform comprehensive post-clone validation.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Concurrent Managers, including work shifts, queue sizing, request processing, scheduling, and troubleshooting of stuck or long-running requests.
  • Troubleshoot EBS workflows, Oracle Forms, OAF pages, concurrent programs, interfaces, and custom components.
  • Collaborate with functional and development teams to diagnose and resolve complex application issues.
  • Support EBS environment upgrades, technical migrations, performance improvements, and production stabilization.

 

Oracle Database & High Availability

  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database 11g, 12c, and 19c environments supporting EBS and other enterprise workloads.
  • Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN backup and recovery environments.
  • Design and support high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, restore, and database failover strategies.
  • Perform database performance tuning and SQL optimization using tools and techniques including AWR and ASH analysis.
  • Troubleshoot database locking, wait events, resource contention, performance bottlenecks, and other database-related issues.
  • Manage database users, roles, privileges, auditing, encryption, and other database security controls.
  • Monitor database health, storage utilization, capacity, performance, and growth trends across development, test, and production environments.
  • Support capacity planning and proactive performance management for business-critical Oracle workloads.

 

Azure Infrastructure & Networking

  • Configure and support Azure Private Endpoints and Private Link Services to provide secure connectivity to Azure PaaS services.
  • Support Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Design and implement secure connectivity between on-premises Oracle environments and Azure.
  • Support hybrid cloud architectures using VPN and ExpressRoute.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and security issues affecting Oracle applications, databases, and supporting services.

 

Oracle Cloud Migration & Modernization

  • Lead or support the migration of Oracle EBS and Oracle Database workloads from on-premises environments to Azure and/or OCI.
  • Evaluate and implement migration approaches including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization.
  • Conduct migration assessments covering infrastructure sizing, application and database dependencies, network requirements, security, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Develop cloud architecture and migration plans for complex Oracle workloads.
  • Coordinate migration activities, including cutover planning, execution, validation, troubleshooting, and post-migration stabilization.
  • Ensure migrated environments meet requirements for performance, security, availability, backup, disaster recovery, and operational support.

 

Operations, DR & Documentation

  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness, backup integrity, monitoring, and operational continuity for Oracle workloads hosted across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Participate in DR exercises, failover testing, recovery validation, and remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, support procedures, and operational standards.
  • Establish repeatable operational processes for Oracle and Azure environments.
  • Work collaboratively with infrastructure, security, network, application, database, and external vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Oracle environments, with strong expertise in Oracle EBS, Oracle Database, IAM, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2.x administration.
  • Strong Oracle Database administration experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, and/or 19c.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Strong experience with Oracle EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, environment refreshes, and Concurrent Manager administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting EBS technical components including Forms, OAF, workflows, concurrent programs, and custom components.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IAM / Microsoft Entra ID, including RBAC, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Private Endpoints, Private Link, VNets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience supporting or leading Oracle workload migrations to Azure and/or OCI.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, networking, high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and enterprise infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
  • Experience with OCI IAM, compartments, policies, networking, compute, storage, and security services.
  • Experience supporting Oracle EBS within highly regulated or validated environments.
  • Experience with large-scale Oracle cloud migration and modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, audit, and governance frameworks.
  • Oracle or Microsoft cloud certifications are an asset.

 

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $119,062-$149,600. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
