Senior Director, Partner Growth - Insurance, North America Partner Growth

Position Overview

The Senior Director, Partner Growth - Insurance is responsible for accelerating partner-enabled growth for NTT DATA North America's Insurance Business Unit. This leader works with strategic alliance partners, Insurance BU leadership, client teams, and internal practices to create pipeline, shape deal strategy, advance priority pursuits, and convert partner relationships into measurable growth outcomes.

Reporting into the Partner Strategy & Solutioning team, the role has a broad Partner Growth remit: helping define where partners matter most in Insurance, identifying market-relevant growth plays, shaping partner-enabled solution concepts, and mobilizing the right partner, BU, sales, and practice resources around target accounts and active opportunities.

This is not a quota-carrying sales role. The role is commercially accountable for partner-sourced and partner-influenced growth and success is measured through growth of business with partners, pipeline creation, and progression of priority partner initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Growth Strategy and Sales Execution

  • Develop and execute the Insurance BU partner growth agenda, including priority partners, target accounts, use-case focus areas, active pursuits, and expected commercial outcomes.
  • Translate Insurance BU priorities, market pressures, and client transformation needs into partner-backed sales plays and account strategies.
  • Work with Client Executives, Sales Executives, Partner Sales, practices, and partner field teams to identify, shape, and advance alliance-supported opportunities across priority insurance accounts.

Strategy & Solutioning Support

  • Support identification and framing of partner-enabled Insurance solution opportunities, including generative and agentic AI, cloud, data, security, infrastructure, applications, advisory, and operations concepts where partner capabilities create client value.
  • Help connect client problems, partner capabilities, NTT DATA offerings, and BU priorities into clear growth plays that sales teams can take to market.
  • Contribute to lightweight business-case thinking, value proposition development, sales messaging, and offer readiness for priority partner growth initiatives.

Strategic Partner Programs and GTM

  • Lead partner go-to-market motions that support Insurance growth, ensuring partner activity is connected to BU priorities, target accounts, active opportunities, and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Coordinate with Partner Sales, Partner Execution, marketing, practices, and partner teams to define program scope, target accounts, messaging, enablement needs, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Support development of partner-ready offers, campaign concepts, sales plays, enablement content, and executive materials for Insurance-focused partner initiatives.
  • Track progress, surface blockers, and ensure strategic partner initiatives move from concept to execution with clear ownership and decision discipline.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Decision Support

  • Serve as the Strategy & Solutioning interface for partner-related Insurance BU priorities, connecting BU needs with partner capabilities, internal practices, and North America Partner Growth resources.
  • Create concise, executive-ready materials that frame partner strategy, solution opportunities, program status, business value, risks, unresolved decisions, and recommended next steps.
  • Facilitate working sessions with senior stakeholders and document decisions, dependencies, owners, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure partner activity for the Insurance BU is grounded in customer evidence, BU strategy, practical economics, and an executable path forward.

Success Measures

  • Quality and clarity of the Insurance BU partner strategy, including partner priorities, target-account logic, solution focus areas, and expected outcomes.
  • Strength of partner-enabled solution opportunity assessments, including customer problem definition, business value, partner contribution, feasibility, and commercial potential.
  • Progress of Insurance-focused partner programs and GTM initiatives against defined milestones, owners, and success measures.
  • BU, practice, partner, and sales validation of prioritized solution concepts and go-to-market motions.
  • Quality and timeliness of executive materials, recommendations, stakeholder alignment, and decision support.
  • Readiness of Insurance partner initiatives for commercialization, seller enablement, and launch.
  • Qualified pipeline, partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities, active pursuit progression, production deployments, or other commercial outcomes associated with prioritized Insurance partner initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in partner strategy, industry solutions, management consulting, business transformation, solution development, product or offer strategy, enterprise technology services, or related growth-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, including business pressures, transformation priorities, buyer needs, regulatory complexity, operating-model challenges, and technology modernization opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear partner strategies, use cases, solution opportunities, workplans, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Experience working with strategic technology partners, hyperscalers, partner ecosystems, co-sell environments, or partner-led go-to-market motions.
  • Working knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation, agentic technologies, and modern cloud-based technology environments sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical and industry specialists.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to assess customer value, market relevance, partner contribution, investment requirements, business-case logic, and growth potential.
  • Excellent written communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant consulting, business, product, partner, or technology credentials preferred.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant consulting, business, product, partner, or technology credentials preferred.
  • 8+ years working in the Insurance industry supporting partners with alliances creating strategies.
