We are currently seeking a State & Local Executive Leader to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
State & Local Government Executive Leader
Role Overview
The State & Local Government Executive Leader provides executive leadership across a portfolio of accounts spanning the United States. This role is accountable for driving growth, ensuring delivery excellence, and building trusted long-term relationships with state and local government leaders. The ideal candidate is a proven executive with deep SLED expertise, business acumen, and a strong track record of delivering measurable client and organizational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Provide overall leadership for account operations, administration, and performance across a portfolio of State & Local government clients.
- Drive achievement of financial, operational, and client success objectives with full P&L accountability.
- Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and delivery governance to ensure operational excellence.
Client Relationship Development
- Build and sustain trusted, executive-level relationships with senior and C-level government leaders.
- Serve as a strategic advisor, aligning solutions with client missions and evolving priorities.
- Represent the company with oversight bodies, boards, commissions, and executive forums as required.
Business Growth & Market Positioning
- Identify and create new opportunities by leveraging industry knowledge, regulatory awareness, and innovation to solve client challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and government affairs teams to elevate visibility and influence in the SLED market.
- Serve as a thought leader by participating in industry forums, speaking engagements, and publications.
Policy, Funding & Ecosystem Engagement
- Monitor and interpret state policy changes, funding cycles, and regulatory developments to anticipate client needs and shape strategic offerings.
- Engage with the broader ecosystem of technology partners, systems integrators, and industry associations to expand opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
Innovation & Transformation Leadership
- Lead executive workshops and strategy sessions with clients to shape digital transformation roadmaps.
- Partner with solution teams to co-develop tailored offerings in areas such as cybersecurity, citizen experience, cloud, data, and emerging technologies.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure delivery quality, compliance with contractual obligations, and adherence to public sector governance standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery and operational risks while maintaining client trust.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and executive guidance to account teams on strategic direction, relationship management, and performance.
- Build high-performing, inclusive teams that foster collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Sponsor leadership development and succession planning efforts to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of client service leadership in the State & Local Government and Education (SLED) sector.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, and account leadership with measurable growth achievements.
- 5+ years managing large, multi-location consulting engagements and executive client relationships.
- 5+ years of P&L management, budgeting, and operational performance accountability.
- Proven ability to exceed business, financial, and customer objectives in dynamic environments.
