Growth Strategist — Strategic Storyteller for Enterprise Transformation, L12
Team: Strategy Group — Launch by NTT DATA
Reports To: Head of Strategy
Location: Remote or Hybrid

Who We Are
NTT DATA America strives to hire exceptional, innovative, and passionate individuals who want to grow with us. Launch by NTT DATA is the culmination of the company's strategy to acquire and integrate the skills, experience, and technology of leading digital companies, backed by NTT DATA's core capabilities, global reach, and depth.

Role Overview
This is a specific kind of role — built for someone who can move fluidly between strategy, storytelling, and delivery. As a Growth Strategist, you'll lead client conversations that earn the trust and permission to help shape product visions and long-term roadmaps that solve for real business challenges and opportunities.

We want a storyteller — but a disciplined one. You'll craft narratives and propositions that are compelling and grounded, tied to measurable value, delivery realities, and the numbers behind the story. This isn't a traditional consulting role, and it isn't a pure slideware strategy role either: you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, experience design, and growth, helping clients unlock larger, more transformational opportunities rather than incremental engagements.

If you love rallying clients around a great story rooted in strategy, and then helping to deliver outcomes that makes it real, we'd be excited to meet you. Expect to operate with a tolerance for ambiguity— including the shaping of the of this role as you grow into it.

What You'll Do

  • Lead conversations with clients and prospects, building relationships that earn you permission to assist in developing product visions and long-term roadmaps that solve for their challenges and reveal their opportunities.
  • Solely and collaboratively, create client facing artifacts, like points of view and offering narratives, that reflect and expand client and colleague conversations into tangible plans. This could include content and visuals for research, concepts, roadmaps, architecture diagrams and experience frameworks.
  • Educate, guide, and persuade internal and external stakeholders through compelling storytelling rooted in analytical thinking.
  • Partner with sales and delivery leadership to play a hands-on role in new business that unlocks larger more transformational opportunities. Occasionally play a role on billable projects to bring the narrative vision to life via discovery and/or assessment projects.
  • Work through ambiguity to create a clear vision, adapting your message so it resonates with different audiences.
  • Stay conversant with technical teams shipping and supporting complex products and platforms, understanding enough of the technology to translate it into stories for any audience.
  • Turn inputs as varied as analytics, API documentation, Jira tickets, and user research into actionable, measurable plans.

What You Bring

  • Proven client-facing experience with senior executives — comfortable holding the room and navigating complex, high-stakes conversations. Skill at adapting on the fly.
  • Strong narrative and framing skills, balanced with discipline: a storyteller who stays grounded in delivery, commercials, and organizational realities rather than pure theory.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and propositions tied to measurable value.
  • Comfort operating at the intersection of strategy, experience design, and delivery — not a purely slideware strategist.
  • Experience contributing to new business pursuits — scoping, proposal writing, SOW input, or pitch development — in a consulting or agency setting.
  • Expert listening and superior deductive reasoning, with the ability to rally team members and clients around bold recommendations.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity — comfortable operating without a rigid playbook, including helping define the shape of the role itself.
  • Awareness of service and experience design principles, and the ability to connect strategy, experience, and growth opportunities to lead to client outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, experience design, or a client-facing advisory role
  • 8+ years of experience leading conversations and presentations with senior/executive-level client stakeholders
  • 8+ years of experience crafting narratives, points of view, or proposals that tie business outcomes to measurable value
  • 8+ years of experience contributing to new business pursuits (e.g., scoping, proposal writing, SOW development, or pitch creation) in a consulting or agency environment
  • 5+ years of experience translating technical inputs (e.g., analytics, API documentation, user research) into client-facing strategic narratives
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, design, communications) or equivalent professional experience
