We are currently seeking a Cisco Firepower Network Engineer - Pomona, CA (Hybrid Schedule) to join our team in [[pomona]], [[California]], [[United states]].

Role Overview:

  • Under minimal supervision, this Network Engineer will perform advanced network engineering level functions in support of a multi-site enterprise environment
  • This Network Engineer will provide technical assistance, troubleshooting and perform problem resolution on all advanced network problems including LAN/WAN connectivity, Wireless networks, VOIP connectivity and applications response time issues
  • Manage medium to large scale complex projects affecting the entire network
  • Design company network architecture and will be responsible for documentation and detailed technical configuration for network equipment
  • Setup new company sites for accessibility to enterprise application and VOIP connectivity
  • Provide pro-active guidance, mentorship, leadership example, and recommendations to junior team members
  • Management and reporting on circuit utilization with ongoing recommendations for optimal efficiency
  • Identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to LANs/WANs environments
  • Making decisions that are critical in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning with potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions
  • Proactively researching and locating necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop
  • Ensuring a stable performance environment for enterprise network applications and systems
  • Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the network infrastructure
  • This Senior Network Engineer will also assist in network security and manage /maintain ASA, ACS and Solarwinds network components

 

Additional Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide oversight and support in design, configuration, management and implementation of network environments, including Firewall, ISE, LAN, WAN, VOIP connectivity
  • Documentation and detailed technical configuration for network equipment
  • Set up new company sites for accessibility to enterprise applications and VOIP connectivity
  • ISP MPLS and internet circuit provisioning and support
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to LANs/WANs environments
  • Manage and report on circuit utilization with ongoing recommendations for optimal efficiency
  • Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise network applications and systems
  • Proactively research and locate necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop
  • Provide technical assistance and perform problem resolution on all advanced network problems including Firewall, ISE,
  • LAN/WAN connectivity, wireless networks, VOIP connectivity, and applications response time issues
  • Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the network infrastructure
  • Provide pro-active guidance, mentorship, leadership example, and recommendations to junior team members
  • Assist in network security and manage/maintain Firewalls, ISE, and Solarwinds network components
  • Participate in On-Call rotation (24x7) one week per month

 

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco Firepower Firewall (FTD)
  • 1+ years of experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) 
  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches


 

Highly Preferred Skills and Experience:  

 

  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Azure
  • CCNA and CCNP certifications- Experience with Cisco VOIP
  • Experience with Aruba remote wireless (RAP) solution
  • Zscaler content filtering
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incident and request tickets
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Services/Consulting industry experience working in a customer facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
