The Business/Programmer Analyst works with stakeholders from the business units to define and document business process and software requirements for a child welfare system. This position requires a critical thinker, self-starter, dependable quick learner with a strong understanding of Information Technology. Candidate must also be able to take on programming/development tasks when needed.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage projects and initiatives to meet the client’s business needs
· Troubleshoot processes and resolve complex issues
· Perform analysis and consulting activities to help client meet business goals
· Work with other teams to facilitate the support process and work toward issue resolution
· Data analysis to assist in data cleanup and data quality activities.
· Data analysis to create test cases, detect issues and understanding data flows.
Duties:
· Analyze and design business solutions
· Document functional requirements
· Create visual designs
· Document technical solution
· Develop test plans and perform testing
· Data mining and analysis
· Ad hoc Reporting
· Develop programs based on customer or system needs.
· Other duties as required
Required Skills:
· Minimum of Five years in a Business or Programmer Analyst role
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or applicable work experience
· MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Ability to multi-task
· Minimum of 3 years using SQL Language
· Minimum of 3 years in a programming language such as Python, Visual Basic, C#, C++
Desired/Plus Skills:
· Experience with Child Welfare Systems
· Experience with Financial Systems
· GUI and IDE tools
· Experience with Saleforce programming and/or Admin role.
