We are currently seeking a Business Consultant - PMO Lead to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Job Title: Business Consultant – PMO Lead | Project Governance & Financial Management

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced PMO Lead with strong expertise in Project Governance, Project Management, Financial Management, Resource Planning, Risk Management, and Executive Reporting.

The ideal candidate will establish and manage effective project governance frameworks, monitor project financials and delivery performance, and provide leadership with clear visibility into portfolio health. The role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Finance, Business, Technology, and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and governance standards.

Day to Day Job Duties

  • Lead PMO governance across multiple projects, programs, and workstreams.
  • Establish and maintain project governance standards, templates, processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and overall delivery health.
  • Track and manage project budgets, actuals, forecasts, accruals, and financial variances.
  • Partner with Finance and Delivery teams to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
  • Manage resource plans, demand, capacity, utilization, and staffing forecasts.
  • Maintain and review RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Identify delivery and financial risks and coordinate mitigation and escalation actions.
  • Prepare executive-level project status reports, dashboards, KPIs/KRIs, and portfolio summaries.
  • Facilitate project governance, steering committee, and leadership review meetings.
  • Monitor project compliance with organizational delivery standards and governance requirements.
  • Track action items, decisions, change requests, and project dependencies through closure.
  • Support project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure, and lessons-learned activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners to track deliverables, commercials, and commitments.
  • Support SOWs, purchase orders, invoicing, contract renewals, and change requests.
  • Drive standardization, process improvement, and automation across PMO activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in PMO, Project Management, Program Coordination, or Technology Delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in project governance, portfolio reporting, RAID management, and executive stakeholder reporting.
  • 4+ years of experience in project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience with resource planning, vendor management, project controls, and delivery governance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing governance across large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for financial analysis and executive reporting.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience managing project financials across multiple projects or portfolios.
  • Knowledge of project capitalization, cost allocation, financial controls, and reconciliation.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and professional services engagements.
  • Experience supporting Steering Committee and senior leadership governance forums.
  • Familiarity with Agile portfolio and program management.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum, or similar certification is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, financial acumen, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
