We are currently seeking a Audio Video Senior Specialist to join our team in Quantico, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Audio/Visual (AV) Administrator required to support multi-building training academy in multiple classrooms in troubleshooting, maintenance, design and upgrade of presentation equipment.


Must be able to:

  • Assess AV equipment to ensure useability by instructors & students in multiple classrooms campus-wide, at multiple campus sites.
  • Train users on AV equipment general procedures and connection of their devices.
  • Conduct manufacturer’s required maintenance and coordinate with AV vendor for maintenance and warranty work as required.
  • Recommend equipment and software upgrades to provide improved service, capabilities and overall user experience in the classroom and around campus.
  • Provide project management for AV upgrades, ensuring the work meets the client’s needs and is conducted per the approved requirements.
  • Work closely with clients and team members to conduct ongoing evaluation of AV needs and services.
  • Assist with general Information Technology (IT) support, to include users’ laptops, classroom computers, and other equipment that may interact with classroom AV equipment.
  • Cultivate, develop, and manage strong, lasting client relationships



Candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all classrooms are functional at least 90% of the calendar year.
  • Performing daily system checks of classrooms scheduled for use
  • Training staff and guest instructors on use of AV equipment, podium controls, etc.
  • Assisting with presentation issues (PowerPoint, laptop connections, audio troubleshooting, remote broadcasting, video presentations, etc.)
  • Conducting recommended maintenance or scheduling AV Vendor for maintenance
  • Controlling AV inventory – spare projector bulbs, laser pointers, lapel microphones, etc.)
  • Ensuring Cable broadcasts are functioning in classrooms and remote TVs
  • Assisting setup and monitoring kiosks, ePosters and other displays (Smartboards, surface hubs, etc.)
  • VTC Conference rooms support – assisting users connect devices and start calls
  • Providing general IT support to client as required
  • Conducting AV support during live graduations, events and special ceremonies
  • Assist with Audio Video functionality with live video conferencing


Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of IT Support Specialist experience, to include experience in Audio Visual systems
  • 6+ years of experience supporting an adult training academy
  • 6+ years of experience managing customer expectations, assessing customer needs, assisting users and students in set-up, use, and breakdown of AV equipment as needed
  • 6+ years of experience training users on podium controls, classroom controls and software needed to connect devices to classroom presentation systems.
  • 6+ years of experience with standard computer applications such as MS Office, WebEx/Zoom/MS Teams/Adobe Connect, PowerPoint presentation settings, file sharing and management such as SharePoint
  • 6+ years of Project management experience, to include the ability to establish and manage schedules, communicate status, and manage multiple AV projects – Warranty/Repairs, Upgrades, new installations, etc.
  • 6+ years of experience confirming cable TV systems and connectivity; refreshing, rescanning and coordinating with facilities on repairs when required.
  • 6+ years of experience researching and proposing new integration of emerging technologies and new IT Processes.
  • 6+ years of experience providing support for AV and IT related issues, including being liaison between the client, AV Vendors and NTT Data for upkeep, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Degree in Instructional Technology, Audio Visual System Design or repair, or Computer Sciences or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Public Trust clearance required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills including knowledge of creating job aids, quick reference guides (QRG) and handouts.

  • Ability to troubleshoot AV and IT equipment, problem solve IT issues quickly and call for support when needed.

  • Experience supporting presentation or display AV equipment
  • Experience designing, installing or overseeing installation of AV equipment
  • Ability to code/program Cisco, Crestron or similar equipment
  • Skill communicating in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, managing time, resources, and client expectations
  • Knowledge of the following is a plus:
    • Planar, LG and/or Crestron Products
    • Blackmagic Video Components
    • Live Broadcasting or cable broadcasting experience
