NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Data Center Technical Project Manager to join our team in Quincy, Washington (US-WA), United States (US).



The DC Planning Associate/Project Planner/Manager is responsible for capacity management of the data center.  This is a direct customer (internal & external) facing role that gathers requirements, manages schedules, and ensures SLA/OLA compliance.  They review project’s technical requirement and ensuring the availability of appropriate infrastructure redundancy and capacity.   They coordinate project deployments with the DC Hardware team and creates as-built documentation such as rack elevations & device/cabling CMDB records. The DC Planning Associates are directly responsible for the accuracy of our DCIM data. This can be a physical, hands-on technical job and thus requires the ability to bend, crawl, stand, climb.  Must be able lift and carry devices up to 50 lbs.


The candidate will be responsible for:


  • DCIM Data entry
  • Queue management: Prioritization, SLA/OLA, scheduling, & resource assignment
  • Complete assigned planning tickets
  • Evaluate projects for capacity requirements
  • Evaluate equipment specifications
  • Create rack elevation, floor space, and power assignments
  • Evaluate DC infrastructure in relation to project requirements
  • Coordinate project deployment and decommissions
  • Update request, change, and incident notes
  • Create change requests
  • Audit DCIM tool & DC floor for data accuracy


Required Skills:

  • 2+ years Project Management experience
  • Minimum Educational Requirements: Associates in an engineering or information technology discipline or equivalent experience


Highly Preferred Skills:

  • Data Center /IT experience
  • Migration/deployment experience
  • Project management certification such as: PMP, CAPM, PMQ, or equivalent experience
  • ITIL familiarization
  • Knowledge of server, storage, and network equipment
  • First-aid/CPR skills a plus
  • OSHA 10 certified a plus
