We are currently seeking a PBI Engineer to Migrate Semantic Models to Fabric to join our team in Remote, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

As a Data Visualization consultant, you will transform complex data into clear, engaging, and actionable visual representations that help stakeholders understand key insights, identify trends, and make informed decisions.  Your role will involve collaborating with clients to understand their data needs and migrating semantic models from Power BI Premium Capacity to Power BI Fabric. You will need to understand the business logic, DAX code, SQL code, and visualization requirements, as well as focus on building performant semantic models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate semantic models from Power BI Premium Capacity to Power BI Fabric
• Create and modify DAX calculations to align with business requirements
• Test, document, and validate migrated DAX and visual metrics remain consistent
• Test, document, and validate Power BI models meet performance expectations
• Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions using data visualization tools
• Design, develop, and maintain various user-friendly dashboards
• Gather and organize feedback from business users and stakeholders
• Translate and refine customer reporting requests into actionable objectives
• Analyze and translate non-technical user requirements into written report specifications
• Create and vet complex calculations within data visualization tools to meet the needs of business logic
• Maintain detailed documentation through multiple simultaneous projects
• Maintain working knowledge of data visualization tools and follows best practices
• Serve as an operational data visualization expert for the team and the organization, which may include developing dashboard requests and interpreting data
• Ability to participate in and drive expectations, meetings, and discussions around reporting requirements, design, infrastructure needs, and project health status with project clients
• Dependable and responsive to calls, correspondence, and email within department expectations.
• Think critically and apply appropriate judgment and creativity to a wide variety of information technology issues

Basic Qualifications: 

• 3+ years designing, developing and distributing dashboards using Power BI.
• 3+ years hands on experience with SQL along with one or more server/database administration tools (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Google Analytics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience with Power Query and writing DAX code
• 3+ years of experience working with MS PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables/graphing
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Fabric

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, or TMDL
• Experience with GitHub and Agile Delivery Tools
• Experience with additional Power Platform or Fabric products
• Microsoft Fabric Certified

• Professional verbal and written communication

• Exercises sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution.

• You are a team player that is a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to success.
• Undergraduate degree or graduate degree preferred.
