We are currently seeking a Release Manager (Remote) to join our team in  Canada (CA).

 

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

Responsible to lead the planning and coordination of multiple phases of the development and implementation of assigned applications. Monitor and drive the project deliverables by implementing the best practices.

  • Planning for the release.
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) and user acceptance tests have been completed by QMO team
  • Prepares and baselines the Deployment Plan (DP) templates and helps the Engineering team prepare the Release Deployment Plan for a release
  • Facilitate two levels of release implementation plan reviews:
    • Onsite RMO team reviews the plan with the SMEs.
    • Second round of implementation plan review will be performed by the offshore RMO Team. The implementation plan will be baselined only after the before mentioned two rounds of review are completed.
  • Coordinates all project teams associated with the release.
  • Shares known defects from testing with IM team.
  • Collect all required documents for release (Code review/KT, VA Code scan, QA sign off and reviews and approved Deployment plan by SME’s, Outage approval if required from IM team).
    • SQL, ETL and DB are exempt from scanning
  • Setup a bridge to implement the Preview/Production release.
  • Ensures that releases are implemented within the approved timeline, with system integrity and availability maintained.
  • Manages post implementation review performed after the release and applies lessons learned from previous releases.
  • Updates the RMO Process documents, SOP documents as required. Identifies opportunities for release automation and implements them.
  • Provides Plutora access to various users and groups and performs regular audits.

Must have Skills:

  • Minimum 8-10 years professional industry experience in IT Delivery
  • Possess excellent relationship, communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities through quick decision-making and change/release management strong analytical ability.
  • Good experience in Ms-Office and documentation skills
  • Timezone: Should be able to work with maximum overlap with Eastern timezone
     

Nice to have, but not required:

  • lead experience

 

Bachelor’s in computer science or related field
