Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Working with international teams
  • Knowledge of different Database tools & Utilities (OEM, Foglight, Spotlight, etc.)
  • Database Server management including migration and consolidation
  • High availability solution implementations
  • Anticipate operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
  • Adapt to projects, programs or methods based on customer or business partner feedback
  • Develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improve business performance and contribute to corporate goals and strategic intent.
  • Knowledge of handling new edge technologies

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

•            Oracle 12.x/Above versions in database administration, in an enterprise environment with multiple database servers is required.

•            Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

•            Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

•            Experience with database administration

•            Experience with incident and problem queue management.

•            Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle

•            Experience working with Linux, Windows & Unix servers


Desirable Skills:

•            Experience with scripting.

•            Experience in SQL, PL/SQL.

•            Experience on Exadata, OEM etc.

•            Experience supporting Logical DBA activities.

•            Experience complex query tuning and schema refinement.

•            OCA, OCP, and/or OCM certifications a plus

Preferred Education:

•            Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent.
