We are currently seeking a Remote Business Sys. Analysis Analyst to join our team in San Francisco, California (US-CA), United States (US).

This role needs someone more than a traditional business analysis expert, who can think out of the box to surface customer needs that have not been explicit or a little far in the future.  The role also mandates a more visual approach to requirements management through service blueprints, journey maps, and flow diagrams, which can minimize verbose documentation and yet convey the requirement in its entirety.


The Deployment Business Analyst will:


  • Analyze business and functional components of the SMART solution through hands-on product analysis, interaction with team members and interviews with SMEs, and exploratory research
  • Understand customer base, end-users, and current advancements in Smart City area.
  • Create product journey maps, service blueprints, use cases, flow diagrams, user stories, and other artifacts to facilitate working session discussions, creation of technical specifications, test cases, and user manuals
  • Elaborates additional specifications, if necessary
  • Participate in backlog refinement, grooming, and prioritization
  • Assist in preparing, updating, and review of test plans, test cases, training documentation, and other cross-functional documentations
  • Identify and close gaps in the acceptance and the input to the testing activities
  • Track, update and interact with the project tracking tool and provide updates to the project management team on project status
  • Communicate and interact with other teams as projects move through the SDLC to ensure the success of various deployments
  • Stay current on the development efforts, market research, and deployments managed and maintained by the business unit.
  • Assist proofs of concept and/or out-of-the-box configurations to accompany new deployments which support configuration
  • Work with the deployment support manager on the design and configuration approach with new modules for post-production maintenance and usage
  • Document and maintain product Wiki
  • Researching solutions to automation issues and integrating these into the system


Incoming Build and Release Engineer should possess:


  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience with writing use cases, user stories, and product specifications
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and management
  • Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize/self-direct as needed
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal team members
  • Independently motivated, proactive, with proven ability to follow through on initiatives
  • Highly engaging and collaborative style in working cross-functionally
  • Willingness to learn continuously and share the learning with the team
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and workload planning skills
  • Operated successfully in large-scale, highly complicated, and global environments – Japan experience is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of overall technology experience, with 2+ years of relevant business analysis or similar experience
  • 4+ years of experience with writing use cases, user stories, and product specifications
  • 4+ years of experience working with Agile for gathering, construction, elaboration, and maintenance of requirements through different phases of SDLC
  • 4+ years of experience managing requirements through service blueprints, journey maps, and flow diagrams
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
