NTT DATA Services currently seeks a OpenStack System Admin Specialist Advisor to join our team in San Jose, San José (CR-SJ), Costa Rica (CR).

 

 

  • Work as Subject Matter Expert in design, architecture and deployment for the OpenStack environment
  • Management of OpenStack servers
  • Conducts system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for issues related to system software performance, availability and reliability
  • Performs incident resolution, problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Designs, develops, recommends and implements new or revised system software, utilities and automated processes as necessary
  • Provides in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develops solutions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the Company's business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation
  • Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post and as advised by Management
  • Experience working with international multilingual teams
  • Demonstrates the NTT Data Services Values of Clients First, Foresight and Teamwork in everything they do.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Linux (SuSE, Red Hat etc)
  • Experience in deployment & support of Unix based Virtualization & QEMU ( KVM/XEN )
  • Advanced technical knowledge of the OpenStack Platform and its components
  • Deployment experience of OpenStack solutions using various deployment techniques
  • Must possess past work experience in at least few of the OpenStack technologies like Nova, Neutron, Horizon, Swift, Keystone, Cinder, Glance, Heat etc.
  • Proficiency in supporting Multi tenant Openstack environment. Enterprise level a plus.
  • Hands on experience in Troubleshooting and resolve issues within Openstack environment, Component level Connectivity and work behaviors
  • Knowledge of provider networks and tenant networks and networking concepts routing, firewall, VLAN/VXLAN, etc.
  • understanding of Object Storage system ( CEPH ) around filesystem and object storage use cases.
  •  Knowledge of different hardware architecture, roadmap and implementation
  •  Server management including migration and consolidation
  •  Expertise in managing and implementing high availability solutions Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution
  •  Anticipate operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
  • Knowledge of handling new edge technologies like OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of System administration experience in Linux Server operations & implementations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in OpenStack technologies
  • Displays good verbal and written language skills in both German and English
  • Shift is 10 am MST until 6 pm MST. to support 24/7
