NTT DATA is currently looking for a Fullstack Network Engineer (ideally hybrid: remote + Sheffield) for our growing team in the UK.
Role overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role requires deep expertise in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network environments across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of networking technologies, automation, security, and infrastructure operations while ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of the organization's network ecosystem.
In this Role, You will
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN connectivity.
- Manage and support circuit provisioning, ordering, and DWDM deployments.
- Maintain and optimize Cisco Nexus 7000, Cisco 6500, and related network environments.
- Create detailed network documentation, connectivity maps, and migration runbooks.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver network solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, standards, and best practices.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex network issues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve performance, security, and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across network initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications

Strong experience in network engineering, infrastructure design, and network operations with demonstrated experience in enterprise networking environments.
- Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and QoS technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms, including Nexus and Catalyst environments.
- Experience with network security solutions and industry security best practices.
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Arista network environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale data centre and hybrid network infrastructures.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools.
- Industry certifications such as:
- CCNA
- CCNP
- JNCIA
- JNCIS
- Network Automation certifications
- Experience in network migration, transformation, and modernization programs.
