Cloud Solutions Architect

We are currently seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) 

• Part of enterprise architecture team responsible for solution architecture for assigned projects
• Responsible for performing evaluation of products/vendors and presenting to key stakeholders
• Undertake the role of technical advisor to project manager
• Create conceptual, logical & physical architectures
• Present and seek approvals from Solution Review Board
• Collaborate with security team to obtain security approvals
• Be a technical expert in modern hybrid on-premise, M365, Azure & SaaS based environment
• Expert knowledge of key architecture concepts in security, data, infrastructure and integration

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

• Minimum 8+ years experience  with technical facilitation of interviews/workshops with a broad spectrum of IT SME's including Enterprise/Domain/Solution Architects/ IT managers/Directors and business stakeholders
• Minimum 8+ years experience  with presenting at architecture and security review boards
• Minimum 8+ years experience  working with all core aspects of architecture design – infrastructure, data, integration and security
• Minimum 8+ years experience with designing Azure based cloud and hybrid solutions using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• Minimum 8+ years experience of Azure cloud infrastructure and governance
• Minimum 2+ years experience with M365
• Minimum 8+ years experience with product/vendor selection processes through technical evaluations and assessments

Travel:  None 

Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

• Experience working for a utility, manufacturing or resources industry
• Experience in a consulting environment
• Cloud certification in Azure
• Experience with IBM and Oracle products suites
• Experience with using TOGAF principles
