The Senior Consultant is responsible for the administration and support of Office 365 (O365), including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and related evolving apps within the Office 365 platform.


Position Requirements

  • Responsible for the administration of Office 365; providing expertise on collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and related evolving apps within the Office 365 platform as part of the daily workload.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, optimizing and documenting solutions to common user requirements or problems in a second and third tier support role.
  • Work with the Office 365 team to gather, confirm and resolve end user issues that arise.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to first tier support staff to assist them in resolving common issues.
  • Work with Microsoft Premiere support engineers to recreate support issues and provide a resolution.
  • Evaluate recommendations and ensure all recommended solutions are aligned to the overall goals and objectives of the client Office 365 team.
  • Collaborate with O365 team to determine optimized configurations, guidelines and standard modifications for Office 365 end user software primarily focused on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.
  • Create custom scripts or rules for service implementation and maintenance (PowerShell, etc.).
  • Collaborate with O365 team in developing support criteria and documentation to support Office 365 applications.
  • Identify, scope, plan, and execute Office 365 initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage activation of components within the O365 tenant, providing education and risk potential within the team.
  • Liaise with system Security & Monitoring teams.
  • Stay informed on disruptive, breakthrough technology and changing industry processes.
  • Work with other teams on application and deployment requirements; define and clarify technical requirements.
  • Participate in the execution of rollouts/deployments, migrations, and upgrades; meet with users to determine software, application, or system needs; research solutions and provide users with recommendations for appropriate solutions to address their needs; provide training to users on various systems, applications, and software as needed.
  • Ensure that incidents have been resolved and closed through proper process and customer acceptance
  • Ensure adherence to relevant controls, policies, standards, and regulatory obligations
  • Experience with ServiceNow and reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange is an asset.

 

  • Experience and knowledge of Office 365 Compliance policies, DLP, Labeling, and Governance
  • Understanding of Azure Active Directory Entitlement Management an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance numerous commitments and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated teamwork mindset and initiative
  • Ability to manage new assignments and the re-prioritization of existing assignments
  • Demonstrated history of problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytic and decision-making abilities during tough situations
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located.
