We are currently seeking a Senior Oracle Budgeting and Planning (PBCS) Specialist (REMOTE) to join our team! This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Canada.
The PBCS Specialist is responsible for supporting the enterprise Planning and Forecasting, Financial Reporting, and Periods Close processes through expert-level functional and technical knowledge of Oracle PBCS, Essbase and Hyperion Planning 11.2.x. This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to support, enhance, and optimize existing financial systems and integrations.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle PBCS, Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase
- Configure the system to meet the desired business process requirements
- Develop testing scenarios, test scripts and leading teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing
- Mentor and coach other team members, main point of contact for the client, coordinate and lead the duties and tasks assigned to the team
- Facilitate train-the-trainer or end-user training
- Works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant in the development of technical solutions of moderate complexity within support practice area.
- Find solutions to customer issues and implement proactive solutions to prevent future system issues
- Regularly interacts with external customers and customer managers and identifies additional opportunities in customer organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience with Oracle's Hyperion Planning and/or Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS, including modules (I.E. Workforce Planning, Capex Planning, Project Planning); Hyperion Financials Reporting (HFR) and data integration tools (DRM, FDMEE, ODI, etc.) with two or more implementations
- Must have 1+ years of hands-on experience with 1 or more upgrade project from Hyperion Planning and Essbase to Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS.
- Must have 3+ years of expert-level experience in developing Business Rules and Essbase scripts.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem solving/debugging skills
Experience with software full lifecycle methodology - Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team; work independently under minimal supervision and flexible to participate as a team member with a willingness to help junior staff where needed
- Highly organized and detailed oriented; Adapt to projects quickly with a can-do attitude
- Able to fully utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define the right solution for the problem at hand
- Application of interpersonal skills to build relationships with Client; Effective communications at project team level, meeting facilitation and presentations, persuasive written communication skills
- Able to transfer knowledge by coaching, training and mentoring
- Requires understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting processes
- Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow development across multiple industries
- Ability to advise clients on best practices in planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Travel: This position does not require any regular travel. Otherwise, may require work from home (internet access, phone access and private location with no interruptions).
- Degree: Undergraduate degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Graduate degree in Finance preferred.
- Oracle EPM PBCS certification preferred.
- Experience in automation including REST API calls, SQL or EPMAutomate is preferred.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to be an advisor to the client in a functional capacity; a consultant to the client and projects in a technical capacity.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $84,360 to $146,520. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
