We are currently seeking a IV&V Project Manager to join our team in Washington DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).


The Project Manager will provide management oversight of all IV&V day-to-day operations for the District of Columbia’s Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modernization projects. The IV&V Project Manager will be responsible for delegating and managing the activities of the IV&V team in order to provide IV&V services required by the contract. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of IV&V services and associated deliverables, working closely with the client, contracted vendors, and business users to collect and analyze information to ensure requirements and business needs are met.
The IV&V Project Manager will work under the direct leadership of the Program Director.
Job Responsibilities Include:
•    Ensure the applicable standards are used to complete assigned tasks and implement process improvements and corrective action as needed 
•    Monitor overall project progress with the approved work plan and updates made monthly to ensure it corresponds to development vendor’s work plan 
•    Ensure compliance with the contract, state and federal regulations and internal standards and procedures 
•    Ensure all major project decisions are documented 
•    Conduct management briefings, as needed 
•    Attending project and status meetings as required 
•    Sign-off on all deliverables prior to submission to the client to ensure quality of format and content
•    Provide guidance and supervision over all IV&V project team members
•    Develop the monthly status report in accordance with the contract requirements 
•    Facilitate regular IV&V meetings with the customer
•    Perform IV&V services according to the agreed upon scope, deliverable content, and deliverable schedule

• ​​​​​Basic Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree (or experience equivalent)
•    Minimum 5 years of project management experience as the lead on MMIS IV&V Projects
•     Minimum 7 years of Medicaid systems experience
•     Minimum 4 years of MITA and/or Certification experience
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Preferred Skills
•    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Expertise with gap analyses for the CMS Seven Conditions and Standards
•    Experience performing project management for large system implementation, integration, or development project
Experience with portfolio and/or program management
Experience in business analysis and working with technical teams
•    Experience conducting executive level meetings, interviews and making presentations
Project quality assurance & assessment experience
•    Specific experience in evaluating quality assurance /quality control testing and User Acceptance Testing efforts
Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems
•    Ability to work effectively and efficiently under strict timelines
•    Must be a team player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible “can-do” attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success
•    Experience performing project management for large system implementation, integration, or development projects
•    Experience with portfolio and/or program management
Experience in business analysis and working with technical teams
Experience conducting executive level meetings, interviews and making presentations
Project quality assurance & assessment experience
Specific experience in evaluating quality assurance /quality control testing and User Acceptance Testing efforts
Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems
