We are currently seeking a Mobile Device Management (MDM)-Lead---US Citizen to join our team in Washington DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
Position's General Duties and Tasks
We are looking for a highly-skilled Mobile Device Management-Lead to support our client in delivering enterprise services to approximately 10,000 users across multiple government agencies in a no-fail, globally accessible environment. This role operates within the Information Systems Division (ISD), focusing on mobile device management (MDM) systems that support 10,000 devices, ensuring seamless integration with core services like email and messaging platforms. The contractor provides Tier 2 through 4 systems engineering to maintain the security, availability, and performance of these critical systems 24/7/365. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing MDM policies and profiles to enforce security standards, application deployment, and device compliance across iOS, Android, and other platforms.
- Configuring MDM platforms (e.g., Airwatch, MobileIron) to manage device enrollment, updates, and remote administration for on- and off-premises environments.
- Monitoring device health, compliance status, and security incidents using MDM dashboards and analytics tools to ensure 99.99% mission capability.
- Troubleshooting escalated MDM issues, such as enrollment failures, policy enforcement errors, or connectivity disruptions, to restore functionality.
- Integrating MDM systems with enterprise services like Active Directory, PKI, and email systems to enable secure authentication and access.
- Optimizing device performance and user experience by adjusting configurations and resolving conflicts in multi-platform environments.
- Documenting MDM configurations, incident resolutions, and best practices to support operational continuity and compliance audits.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Education Equivalency: One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity (e.g., MDM systems for 10,000+ devices).
- Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8140 for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent) is required at the time of hiring.
- Must be a US citizen who possesses a current Top Secret SCI who can be upgraded to a higher level clearance.\
- Must live a commutable distance from the client site in Washington, DC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in configuring and maintaining complex MDM platforms (e.g., Airwatch, MobileIron) in a high-availability environment.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in MDM platforms (e.g., VMware Airwatch Certified Professional, MobileIron Certified Administrator) and DoD 8140 IAT Level 3 compliance (e.g., CASP+, CISSP).
- More than 5 years of experience in systems engineering, particularly with MDM in a DoD or government enterprise setting.
- Proficiency with Apple Device Management (e.g., Jamf), multi-platform MDM integration, and secure mobile application management (MAM).
- Proven ability to manage diverse device ecosystems in a 24/7/365 operational environment supporting global users.
