We are currently seeking a SIEM Programmer to join our team in Washington DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Description:

We are currently seeking a Mid-level Information Systems Security Operations (SIEM) Programmer/Analyst with experience in analyzing the logs created by Security Event and Incident Management (SIEM) system identifying and correcting flaws in the company's security systems, solutions, and programs as well as recommending specific measures that can improve the company's overall security posture to join our Information Security Team in Washington, DC, USA.

 

 

Positions General Duties:

  • Identify enhancement needs of existing SIEM Queries, Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, and Visualizations
  • Perform R&D by mocking up SIEM Queries, Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, and Visualizations
  • Create and review documents relevant to the areas of work.
  • Collect and correlate data from multiple sources and sensors
  • Develop Security Queries, Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, and Visualizations using the SIEM based on security need and emerging threats.
  • Perform testing of SIEM Queries, Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, and Visualizations
  • Perform training for ISOs/ISSOs to use SIEM Queries, Reports, Dashboards, Alerts, and Visualizations
  • Support the ISOs/ISSOs by performing research on incidents through gathering details from the logs and manual data correlation.
  • Develop RM security stories and the details needed in support of those stories with stakeholders.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in Splunk
  • Splunk Power User certification
  • 3 years of experience in developing dashboards, alerts, forms, data models, and reports within Splunk
  • 1 year experience using application security testing suites.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • One or more of CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+ or equivalent certifications
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, experience with Azure being a plus
  • Experience in performing internal and external security audits
  • Experience in analyzing security breaches to identify root cause, recommend strategies to and mitigate the issues

 

 

 

 

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is 110k to 160k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
