The Project Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of a large health care system implementations/enhancements. The Project Manager will be primarily responsible for the health of their project. The Project Manager will be responsible for performing, delegating, and managing the activities within the project team, working closely with direct business partners and vendor teams. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of program and quality management services and associated deliverables.

The Project Manager will work under the direct leadership of the Program Director and perform the following:

  • Primary point of contact for state/vendor
  • Oversee daily activities of the project team including making assignments and maintaining control over the assignments, schedule, and performance of the project team members.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and monitor key milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage and report on project issues.
  • Perform review / assessment of project deliverables, project work products, and other activities necessary of an effective PMO team.
  • Assess project risk and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies applied.
  • Support NTT Project Management and IV&V methodology, process, and implementation guidance
  • Monitor progress and quality against the established Project Management Plan
  • Evaluate whether the Contractor work plans, including tools and resource allocations, are appropriate and reasonable in meeting project timeframes.
  • Develop IV&V/Quality Assurance Project Plans
  • Submit Quality Assurance Project Plan/Status Report weekly for each District MMIS Enterprise Modules
  • Review and recommend improvements to the DDI vendor’s proposed deliverable plans and templates.
  • Participate in ongoing project activities.
  • Provide quality assurance to evaluate the correctness and quality of the MMIS Enterprise Modules projects.
  • Be part of the more extensive oversight of the day-to-day operations and management of the MMIS Enterprise modules projects.
  • Provide a Quarterly Quality Assurance Oversight
  • Assess the users’ and stakeholders’ involvement and participation in requirements validation, design review and acceptance, test case review, user acceptance testing, and user training.
  • Observe project meetings and activities to understand the processes, procedures, and tools used in the MMIS program and various MMIS Enterprise modules project environments.
  • Periodically submit project progress data to the CMS dashboard.
  • Provide extensive oversight of the day-to-day operations and management of the MMIS Enterprise modules projects. 
  • Review the project and MMIS Enterprise modules system processes and progress in areas including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Evaluate and make recommendations about the artifacts required for MMIS certification milestone reviews.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience on MMIS IV&V projects
  • Minimum 7 years of Medicaid systems experience 
  • Minimum 4 years of MITA experience
  • Minimum 2 years of CMS certification experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Ability to be onsite at the Washington, DC office 50%
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or similar field or equivalent work experience.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $90,000 to $150,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
