We are currently seeking a Messaging Services Specialist Advisor to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

NTT DATA Federal Services, Inc. currently seeks a Lead Mobile Broadband Engineer to join our Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) team to assist in transitioning existing Department of the Air Force Base Area Networks to an as-a-Service model while modernizing base networks.  Personnel will travel to bases in the Pacific region (Japan and/or Korea) to provide technical services for the base network infrastructure which will provide continued interoperability with joint network systems, increased access to critical data for high-bandwidth use cases, and support for connections to mission-unique applications, tools and systems. 

Job Description:

  • Lead large-scale projects, including guiding cross-functional teams on the engagement.
  • Provide advanced technical support within area of expertise to clients and NTT DATA personnel on complex integration issues and is often in a lead role within major projects.
  • Provide highly technical software advice for major accounts and complex systems as needed to implement recommended solution within given arameters.
  • Apply advanced training and experience to resolve difficult client problems where standard practice has failed.
  • Identify, structure, and deliver services that enable business processes.
  • Develop automated methods needed to implement recommended solution.
  • Design and implement load testing and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Work with leadership to ensure that all team members have adequate training for assignments.
  • Provide architecture, engineering, and design requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have at least one of these certs: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, or Security+. 
  • 6 years of experience working with large DoD networks.
  • Undergraduate degree or 10 years experience with networks. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a current Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel to Japan or Korea to visit install sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Provides architectural vision for all mobile broadband/cellular-related services across BAN.
  • Understands requirements, ensures standards are followed, assists engineers in designs and implementations.
  • Ensures integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks, troubleshooting network problems and optimizing capacity;
  • Installs and configures broadband systems and networks
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to broadband systems
  • Leads a team of engineers in monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting a private 5G network
  • Tests new broadband technologies before they are rolled-out
  • Documents installation, maintenance, and repair for future reference
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance of mobile broadband systems
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Certified Lotus Professional, Certified Linux Pro or Certified Novell Engineer.
  • Expert ability to use integrated data processing and communication solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of several Messaging technologies.
  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
