NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Navy Program Office Submarine Maintenance Analyst to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).



Job Description


This individual serves as the primary coordination support role for staff overseeing submarine maintenance in a large Navy program office. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential to successfully perform the duties of this position, as well as direct experience and knowledge of Navy program office technical and administrative practices. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Receive, process, and distribute for review and approval various technical documents such as Departures from Specification (DFS) and Liaison Action Requests (LAR)
  • Manage the setup/scheduling of meetings with maintenance activities and stakeholders and act as a communication hub between parties
  • Work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) - position is located inside a SCIF with no windows or access to personal electronic devices
  • Draft outgoing action and response letters in accordance with the Navy Correspondence Manual to facilitate submarine maintenance activities, e.g., approving drawings, change documentation, and maintenance standards
  • Monitor technical workflow elements and maintain and report status of progress in associated tracking tools
  • Assist in the development and review of Engineering Technical Work Packages
  • Perform various administrative support tasks using primarily Adobe and MSOffice products


Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years related experience


Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate technical degree (BS) or equivalent combination of education and work experience


Security Clearance Requirement

  • Secret

  • Advanced knowledge of software programs to include MS Office applications and business unit specific programs
  • Excellent writing, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to support typical hours for this office 7AM-3:30PM with 30 min lunch
  • Ability to effectively respond to shifting and changing priorities of a complex nature
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Advanced organization and time management skills
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently and in a team
  • Direct experience with submarine maintenance and shipyard availabilities
