We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager - TOP SECRET Clearance to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Job Summary:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-level support to a team of public affairs specialists and programming professionals whose responsibility it is to manage the client’s highly trafficked website, mobile apps, and overall web presence.
  • Use public relations savvy, writing, and editing skills to evaluate and vet requests from across the organization for updates and additions to client website or digital content.
  • Work with personnel across the client and occasionally client partners, to manage their websites in the client website environment, including analyzing proposals to overhaul webpages or subsections and providing strategic direction.
  • Evaluate and edit content submitted for publication on client website from headquarters and field personnel, including determining the size, design, and arrangement of digital media on page layouts.
  • Write and craft feature articles, news blogs, and other original web content that engages readers with clear, captivating, and conversational language.
  • Help shape, develop, support, and execute digital and web strategies, content, and campaigns across various platforms, using a variety of online tools, including an advanced content management system, to build awareness and reach audiences.
  • Use the client website content management system, currently a custom Plone-based application called Castle, to make both routine and advanced updates and edits, including building webpages, formatting content using various tiles and rows; build, publish, rename, share, and syndicate all forms of content; and uploading digital media.
  • Leverage a WYSIWYG editor to build and edit pages and other content, including headers, blocks, tables, font sizes, links, bullets, alignments, summaries, tag images, etc. and upload images, audio, and video files into a customized multimedia database.
  • Assist with video and other digital content production, to include overlaying transcriptions for federal compliance.
  • Help determine metrics of success and assess the effectiveness of web and digital marketing initiatives and investments.
  • Monitor and forecast digital trends, best practices, emerging technologies, policies, and risks.
  • Establish relationships with new digital media outlets, exploring terms of service and recommending potential expansion strategies.
  • Monitor and manage the client’s digital activity on various web platforms as needed.
  • Help to serve as a promoter for client digital media strategy, policy, and execution across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on client website efforts.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Writing and editing articulate web feature stories, news blogs, and similar web content, including crafting text using clear, captivating, and conversational language.
  • Evaluating and vetting content for public display online, using public relations savvy and experience.
  • Determining the size, design, and arrangement of digital media on page layouts.
  • Researching, interpreting, implementing, and adhering to policies and guidelines.
  • Working with and making decisions for large organizations.
  • Achieving results in high-pressure environments, requiring professional deliverables with a quick turn-around.
  • Working in a Plone-based content management system and possessing proficiency in basic HTML and editing source code to trouble-shoot issues.
  • Leveraging a WYSIWYG editor to build and edit pages and other content, including headers, blocks, tables, font sizes, links, bullets, alignments, summaries, tag images, etc. and upload images, audio, and video files into a customized multimedia database.
  • Assisting with video and other digital content production, to include overlaying transcriptions.
  • Working on teams, specifically with members with diverse skill sets as well as members internal and external to their immediate working groups.
  • Leveraging interpersonal, collaboration, problem-solving, and verbal communications skills.
  • Implementing and assisting in the development of digital media content strategies for an organization, including marketing, branding, campaigns (paid and unpaid), current and emerging trends and technologies, analytics, and/or search engine optimization.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
    • Education Equivalency: Additional 3 years of experience, in marketing, communications, public relations, public affairs, computer science, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing web content
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced Degree
  • Working within the US Intelligence Community or law enforcement

 

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $70,840 - $106,260. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation.
