We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Associate to join our team in West Greenwich, Rhode Island (US-RI), United States (US).

 

The Desktop Support Associate will work with a fast-paced global leader in IT Services, helping to ensure our client’s IT support needs are professionally addressed, and that disruptions to their systems’ performance are quickly and efficiently resolved.  This role combines strong technical skills with an emphasis on high level delivery of customer service.

 

***This is an onsite role with a work location in West Greenwich, RI.  Work hours are M-F 7-4.  This position requires employee to be fully COVID vaccinated on or before the start date of employment.

 

Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades, basic deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers
-  On-site and/or remote installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals 
- Serve as company liaison with client on administrative and technical matters 
- Primary focus of work activity is predominately routine, but work may require discretion and independent judgment for non-routine matters
- Identify potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and take corrective action
- Identify potential issues that could adversely impact End User experience and follow through on action steps
- Strive to meet Client service level agreements/objectives and customer satisfaction goals
- Escalate to lead or manager according to client service management processes on issues that impact a client End User and/or entire operation at site

 

Basic Requirements:
- 2+ year of experience providing desktop/technical support experience in an end user environment
- Experience with basic Windows and network connectivity troubleshooting
- Physical ability to lift and move Enterprise and Client technology hardware up to 25 lbs in a Client environment

 

Preferences: 
- A+ certification
- Ticketing system experience (i.e. ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
- Services industry experience working in a customer facing role
